The CFMC Holiday Party will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at The Manor House in Springdale. Gathering at 6:00 PM, Dinner at 6:30. WA8FOZ is to confirm the date (DONE-WA8FOZ). Program TBA. 3 Your Editor John Maier, W8AUV Your Editor Speaks Le=er from the Editor: It has been six plus years since we (my wife Kay and I) first volunteered to be in charge of edi+ng and doing the page layout/ design for The SPARK when we took over from Peter Nord WB8FGE. I m not sure I would have wanted to do this job if it wasn t for Kay who was my en+re produc+on department! She has done a terrific job, not to men- +on that she is fun to work with! We tried to make each issue interes+ng and readable and we added generous amounts of color and pictures to each issue. It was fun producing each edi+on of The SPARK, and I would be remiss if I didn t thank so many of you for your help with commi=ee/officers reports and ar+cles to add the necessary data to make The SPARK authen+c, interes+ng, and factual. We managed to compose various issues from our Florida home over the years as well as from Cincinna+ during the summer and early autumn months. Along the way, we opted to send each issue of The SPARK to you, our members, by (primarily to save postage and prin+ng costs). This seemed agreeable with all of you, our readers. It made the job of ge:ng the news out to you DEFINITELY much easier and more +mely! However, it has come +me for someone else to step up and edit The SPARK. Kay and I are moving to Florida full +me THIS WEEK! I feel your editor needs to be local, at least part-+me, and as such, offer this le=er as my desire to re+re as your Editor of The SPARK effec+ve December 31, Please contact me or Bill Klykylo WA8FOZ to volunteer for this job.
