1 CEDAR BLUFF TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2th, 208 AT 5:30 PM The Town Council of the Town of Cedar Bluff, County of Cherokee, State of Alabama, met in Regular Session in the Council Room at Town Hall, 3420 Martha Vera Lane, Cedar Bluff, Alabama on Monday, February 2th, 208 at 5:30 p.m. pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Mayor Tammy Crane presided and called the meeting to order. Members in attendance were as follows: Mayor District Tammy Crane District 2 District 3 Donald Sanders Jerry Sprayberry District 4 District 5 Norman Burton Leatha Harp The invocation was given by Councilmember Leatha Harp. Mayor Tammy Crane led the Pledge of Allegiance.. Approval of Council Minutes from the January 208 meetings The motion to approve the minutes from the January meetings was made by Councilmember Donald Sanders and seconded by Councilmember Leatha Harp. Motion Carried: (5-0) 2. Financial Reports for January 208 The financial reports were distributed to the council for their review. 3. Resolution Surplus Property RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Town of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, has certain items of personal property which are no longer needed for public or municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, Section of the Code of Alabama of 975 authorizes the municipal governing body to dispose of unneeded personal property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF CEDAR BLUFF, ALABAMA AS FOLLOWS: (SEE ATTACHED LIST OF ITEMS) SECTION. That the Mayor and Town Clerk be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to dispose of the personal property owned by the Town of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, described in Section. Aye: Burton, Harp, Sander, Sprayberry, Crane 5. Citizen Comments a. Nancy Steed Youth Prevention Conference Mrs. Steed came to ask the Council to donate to the conference as they have in the past. Council Member Donald Sanders made the motion to make a donation to the conference in the amount of $ and Council Member Norman Burton seconded the motion. 6. Other Business In other business Council Member Jerry Sprayberry the made the motion to allow Trey McMeekin to be on the Fire Department under restrictions until he graduates from Cedar Page 4 of 5
