Forms on website for meeting updates and also for new group form. New Business: 1., GCPAA: annual conference of young people in AA. Savannah August SERCYPAA: South Eastern conference young people AA: Atlanta June st here since $15 and want volunteers. 3. Women s GALS- Toccoa March. Partial scholarships. 4. Macon motions: 1. To make prepaid a paid conference: did not pass. 2. DCMs would have a vote was voted down. 5. Monthly photo archives. 6. Topic for newcomers: how are we reaching out to newcomers? Encourage groups to look at that, example: greeters. 7. Assemblies take place 3 rd weekends of January, May, and September. 8. Discussion: We could switch the amount of district meetings from 12 to 6. Consensus was to not do that. Information available in other places and most doctors do not read 43 pages. New Business: 1. Be thinking about names of speakers for August picnic- nominations by next month. August 13 th for picnic at Vogel. Bring side dish. 2. Macon May assembly. 3. Gigi challenged everybody to read the message. 4. Ernie was disappointed that only 44% of all GSRs were at assembly. 5. Augusta October 2-23 Prepaid Convention. Flyers in Message or from Website. 6. Athens 2018 Prepaid Convention. 7. Cluster Forum in Albany encourage groups to go to Cluster Forums. State officers attend Cluster Forums. 8. Gigi has to make presentation on how to present AA to newcomers. Any suggestions are welcomed. What do I think a newcomer would like to have? 9. Mike alternate DCM has to leave country for his job frequently. He will need a strong Alternate when he steps up to DCM. The Ad-Hoc committee report on the motion to move funds between Pre-paid and GSSA They indicated they did not feel this should occur that the Groups should be encouraged to reduce their percentage to Pre-paid and increase their percentage to GSSA. 3. The Ad-Hoc committee reported on the motion to eliminate the Assembly Evening Area Workshops. The committee disagreed and felt they should not be eliminated. 4. Athens was approved for the 2018 Pre-paid. 5. Southeast Regional Forum will be in Orlando Fla. 6. Suggestions to allow mileage for DCM/DCMA visit groups to encourage District Participation. 7. Jennifer reported that GSSA and GSO you can now pay online. 8. Previous person left everything in good shape so there shouldn t be any problems. In Lumpkin County, currently we don t have a meeting. Need some people to hold a meeting. Women s group is going ok. Kathy Bolton is now State Corrections rep. Coldwell in Blairsville is going well. Bill A.- Received box from Lisa A (previous secretary) of material she had accumulated during her term as secretary. Will give to Mike G current secretary. At last meeting, we voted to remove the Traditions position as Bob R is in Florida and probably won t be here for future meetings. Helen Oldtimers (Jeri R) Going through a lot of changes. We are no longer holding a Saturday meeting effective immediately. Please announce to your groups. Sautee Nacoochee (Joel O) Have our anniversary coming up and will celebrate on the 12 th with an eating meeting at 6:00 PM and Jenne C will be speaker at 7:00 PM. 3

After much discussion of service positions in the district an appeal was made to nominate an Alternate DCM position because of the immediate need. No nominations were made.
