2 ARTICLEIII BOARDOFDIRECTORS Section1.GeneralPowers ABoardofDirectorsshallmanagetheproperty,affairsandbusinessof SCQG. Section2.CompositionoftheBoard TheBoardofDirectorsshallbecomprisedofthefollowingexecutive officers:thepresident(s),vice president(s),secretary,andtreasurer. Anyexecutiveofficermayberemovedforcausebytheaffirmativevote oftwo thirdsmajorityofthewholeboardofdirectors.additionalboard membersshallincludetheprogramcommitteechairpersonand assistant chairperson,themembershipcommitteechairperson,the newslettereditor,andthequiltshowcoordinator(s).therestofthe boardwillincludeeverycommitteechairperson,onerepresentative fromeachrecognizedquiltclubwithinthescqgandatleastone representativefromthemembersat largewithinthescqg.(tobe recognizedasaclubthereneedstobe3ormoreguildmembersinthe club.) Section4.QuiltShowCommittees Theoptionofhavingaquiltshowshallbedecidedeachyearbythe BoardofDirectors.Thepresidentshallappointaquiltshow chairperson.itshallbethechairperson sresponsibilitytooverseethe effortsofeachcommitteeofthequiltshow. Section5.NominatingCommittee Thenominatingcommitteeshallconsistofthepresident,thevicepresident,andthreeSCQGmembersappointedbythepresident.These personsshallberesponsibleforpreparingaslateofnominationsforthe officesofvice president,secretaryandtreasurer.thisslateofofficers shallbepresentedattheoctobermeetingatwhichtimetheelectionwill beheld.also,atthistimenominationsmaybemadefromthefloorwith theconsentofthenominee. Section6.BudgetCommittee Thebudgetcommitteeshallconsistofthetreasureraschairperson,the presidentandtwoscqgmembersappointedbythepresident.the committeeshallberesponsibleforpreparingabudgetforeachfiscal yeartobeapprovedbytheboardatthefirstboardmeetingoftheyear.
