1 JUNIATA COUNTY SALARY BOARD July 25, 2017 Tuesday, July 25, 2017, Commissioner Alice Gray called the Salary Board meeting to order at 10:10 am. Also in attendance were Commissioner Todd Graybill, Commissioner Mark Partner, Treasurer Sandra King, Chief Clerk S. James Bahorik, Register and Record Alicia Seigler, Eva Weyrich, Jeff Haines, Mike Hower, and members of the media. Commissioner Gray called to order the Salary Board for the Commissioner s Office and proposal. Members present were Commissioner Gray, Commissioner Partner, Commissioner Graybill, and Treasurer King. Commissioners Office Bahorik, S James-$53, A motion was made by Commissioner Graybill to approve the proposal, retroactive to March 27, The motion was 2 nd by Commissioner Partner which then carried. Commissioner Gray called to order the Salary Board for the Judge s Offices and Judge Domestic Relations McKelvey, Christine-$45, Probation Beaver, Michelle-$54, Judges Rheam, Veronica-$45,760.34

2 Commissioner Gray stated that Judge Morrow, who is a part of the Salary Board, was unable to attend and that action could be taken since there was a quorum. A motion was made by Commissioner Partner and 2 nd by Commissioner Graybill to accept the proposal. The motion carried. Commissioner Gray called to order the Salary Board for the District Attorney s Office and stated that the purpose of the meeting was to take action on the following proposal, retroactive to March 27, Members present were Commissioner Gray, Commissioner Partner, Commissioner Graybill, and Treasurer King. District Attorney Rice, Jessica-$27, Commissioner Gray stated that District Attorney Cory Snook, who is a part of the Salary Board, was unable to attend and that action could be taken since there was a quorum. A motion was made by Commissioner Graybill and 2 nd by Treasurer King to accept the proposal. The motion carried. Commissioner Gray called to order the Salary Board for the Prothonotary s Office and Prothonotary Swarner, Christina-$35, Commissioner Gray stated that Prothonotary Lori Ferry, who is a part of the Salary Board, was unable to attend and that action could be taken since there was a quorum. A motion was made by Commissioner Partner and 2 nd by Commissioner Graybill to accept the proposal. The motion carried.

3 Commissioner Gray called to order the Salary Board for the Treasurer s Office and Treasurer Hutchinson, Jan-$32, A motion was made by Commissioner Partner to approve which was 2 nd by Treasurer King. The motion carried. Commissioner Gray called to order the Salary Board for the Sheriff s Office and Sheriff Baublitz, Rick-$38, Reid, Andrew-$34, Searer, Brittany-$34, Yohn, Jordon-$34, Commissioner Gray stated that the Sheriff, who is a part of the Salary Board, was unable to attend and that action could be taken since there was a quorum. A motion was made by Commissioner Partner and 2 nd by Treasurer King to accept the proposal. With Commissioner Graybill abstaining, the motion carried. The Salary Board of Elected Officials adjourned at 10:15 with a motion from Commissioner Graybill. The motion was 2 nd by Commissioner Partner and the motion carried.

Commissioner Gray stated the meeting was for to take action on the following salary proposal which is retroactive to March 27, Children and Youth Abram, Penni-$54, Imes, Karen-$49, Weaver, Allen-$52, Emergency Management Mingle, Keith-$45, Assessment Haines, Jeffrey-$45, Planning Kerstetter, Bradley-$43, Maintenance Fisher, Richard-$41, Veteran s Affairs Dreese, Daniel-$22,069.16

5 Tax Claim Varner, Brenda-$35, Voter Registration Weyrich, Eva-$37, A motion was made by Commissioner Graybill to approve the proposal. The motion was 2 nd by Commissioner Partner and the motion carried. The final business to be acted on was setting the salary for the new position of GIS Director. Commissioner Graybill made a motion to set the beginning salary at $37,150. Treasurer King 2 nd the motion which then carried. The Salary Board adjourned at 10:17 with a motion by Commission Graybill which was 2 nd by Commissioner Partner. The motion carried. Respectfully Sandra F King
