Mellen Chair, Planning Commission Planning Commission Report to the Board of Commissioners (for the Commissioners July 2, 207 Regular Meeting) A meeting of the Planning Commission was held on Friday, July 4, 207 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Commission members in attendance were: Paull Hubbard, Joyce Lussier, Francis Markert, David Mellen, Harvey Shulman, Michael Strange, Lynn Wilson. Absent: Jan Konesey, Brian Patterson Also in attendance were: Dam Molina, Chief Building Inspector Daniel McAllister, Esq. represented the City Solicitor who was traveling Liz Lingo, City Arborist. A Preliminary Review of Partitioning Application No took place on the matter of the partitioning request for the property located in the R- Zoning District on Lot Nos. 33, 34, 35 & 36, Block No. 4. The address of the property is 20 Lake Drive. The Partitioning has been requested by Brian & LInda Barry of 20 Lake Associates LLC, owners of the property. Attorney Mark F. Dunkle of Parkowski, Guerke and Swayze P.A. represented the applicants. Following a report of the Building Inspector, a presentation by the Applicant and Public Comment, the Planning Commission determined that the application was substantially complete and voted unanimously to move the application to Public Hearing at its August, 207 regular meeting. The Applicant must correct a discrepancy that has been noted related to a difference in ownership names on the application and recorded deed and the name currently registered on the City tax record. 2. A Public Hearing for a Site Plan Review took place for Application No The property (Rehoboth Beach Elementary School) is located in the ER Zoning District on Tax Map Parcel No at the southeast side of the intersection of State Road and Stockley Street Extended. The address of the property is 500 Stockley Street Extended. The Site Plan Review had been requested by W. Zachary Crouch, PE of Davis Bowen & Friedel Inc. on behalf of Brian Bassett, Director of Facility Operations of Cape Henlopen School District, owner of the property. Attorney James Fuqua represented the School Board. The Public Hearing included an update report by the Building Inspector, a presentation by the Applicant, comments from the Public and discussion by the Planning Commission. Some additional materials were requested and are to be submitted, in a timely fashion, to the Planning Commission. Page 0 of 2

11 The Planning Commission voted unanimously to continue the Public Hearing of the Site Plan Review at its August 207 meeting. 3. At this time, there are no new partitioning requests that have been submitted. The Planning Commission will schedule its next regular meeting for August, 207. This meeting will commence at 3:00 p.m. Planning Commission Chairman David Mellen will attend and present the Planning Commission s report and is prepared to answer any questions that the Board of Commissioners may have concerning this report or other activities of the Commission. cc: City Manager City Solicitor Building Inspector City Arborist Planning Commission Page of 2
