Devon Ave. Park Ridge, IL Meeting called to order at 09:03AM Roll call: Board members present Piltaver, Kuzmanovich, Weingart, Sorensen Board members present by phone Schneider Board members not present Woodford, Herling Other Staff present B/C John Hanson, Paul Lisowski Approval of Minutes - Approval of 03/27/15 minutes o No concerns with minutes o Motion to approve minutes made by Weingart, Second Kuzmanovich. Vote taken, votes passes 5-0 Aldermen or citizens wishing to be heard on a non-agenda item - No members of public or aldermen present Discussion Items - Internal Board Elections o Current elected members are President Weingart, Treasurer Schneider, Secretary Piltaver o Piltaver nominates Weingart for President, second by Kuzmanovich. Vote taken to vote Weingart back as President, vote passes 5-0. Our Mission IS TO LIMIT THE LOSS OF LIFE AND PROPERTY THROUGH PLANNING, PREVENTION AND RESPONSE.

2 o Weingart nominates Schneider for Treasurer, second by Sorensen. Vote taken to vote Schneider as Treasurer, vote passes 5-0. o Weingart nominates Piltaver for Secretary, second by Kuzmanovich. Vote taken to vote Piltaver as Secretary, vote passes Treasurers report o Yearly supplement check arrived in the amount of $62,000 o Current funds are $ (includes all items listed below already paid for) - Update on previous purchases Action Items o Biltmore ice machine maintenance $ o New towels purchased for both stations o Coffee purchased for both stations o Monthly Wow cable bill $ o Power loaders installed in new ambulances and paid for in July as well was the city s portion o Thermal imager was purchased and placed in service on T36 and the TIC from T36 moved to A36. The city will be purchasing the second TIC that was part of the agreement between the FFT and City. New TIC will be placed on E35 and old tic moved to A35. TIC should be purchased before May 1 st. o Carpet cleaning will be taken over by the city s budget. FFT will no longer pay for the service. - Footwear Supplement o Total of 50 members to supplement boots of $80 added onto $80 city provides. o Discussion was made to have city take over total of boot purchases. Increasing the budget of $300 to $380 for each member. Current budget per FF could handle full purchase of boots. o Motion to supplement $80 to boot purchases made by Kuzmanovich, second by Sorensen. Vote taken, vote passed Cardiac Monitor Mounts o $ per mount, need two for ambulances as current mounts are damaging monitors and difficult to put in quickly. o Discussion on purchasing. When new reserve ambulance is purchased it will try to be included into price of ambulance.

3 o Kuzmanovich made a motion to purchase two monitor mounts, Weingart second. Motion passes, TRT Equipment o Lock fall arrest devices and two person shock absorbers $315 per TRT member. o $1900 total would be needed for all equipment. o Hanson asked if these parts would already be located on Rescue 3. Are they replacing expired equipment or adding to each person. Is this a needed or wanted item. o Item tabled to next meeting as more information is needed. - Station improvements o Partition wall extensions in bunkrooms o Recliners Wanted to reduce noise in bunk room and increase privacy. Would still be low enough for sprinklers. Possibility of HVAC issues. As well as concerns for window to wall location. Vote taken to have partition walls raised, vote fails, 1-4, Piltaver yes vote. Two needed for station 35 and one for station 36. Station 36 has an old recliner with broken internals and two at station 35 have worn leather with holes. Allotment of $800 per recliner One recliner will have a swivel option and will be placed at station 35 with an added allotment of $300 for that option. Vote taken to approve $2700 for new recliners. Vote taken, vote passes, 4-1. Schneider no vote. o Picnic tables Discussion of just having wood replaced on current tables. City would pay for materials to repair. Discussion on having recycled plastic lumber used, would have zero maintenance. Patio furniture also discussed for both stations. Motion made by Weingart to purchase new picnic tables or patio furniture, vote taken vote fails 0-5. o Audio visual equipment.

4 Discussion of purchasing new TV s in workout rooms. Current TV s are having connectivity issues as well as DVD use issues. Discussion on chrome cast for TV s for displaying training on kitchen TV s. Allocation of $2500 discussed for TV s, mounts and chrome cast receivers. Weingart motions to allocate $2500 for AV purchase, second by Piltaver. Vote taken, vote passes 5-0. Video conferencing system to communicate between stations Current system used for such items as vacation selection at the beginning of the year and union meetings does not allow all crews to be at one station at one time. Discussion has arisen to help make video/audio communication easier for those occasions as well as provide an option for multi company training over video conferencing. Paul Lisowski discussed about seeking grant money to supplement a purchase of this nature. Other options discussed were GoTo accounts as well as Skype. Issue with current system is that audio is poor with simple devices as well as video cannot be controlled. Item tabled to new meeting to seek out further prices and options. New Business* These items cannot be voted on due to not being on the agenda prior to the meeting.* o Bunkroom closet improvement Discussion on having closets fixed. Currently only one estimate was found and totaled $ More bids will be looked into and discussed at next meeting. o Locker room improvements Discussion on remodeling locker rooms for more room and function. No bids or designs have been sought out yet. o Kuzmanovich discussed red lights that are going to be installed into bunk rooms for when the alert tones are activated to give crews soft light when exiting the bunk room. FF/PM Smaha is looking into quote but current financial liability is with the city.
