The Chairman then asked for a roll call to confirm a quorum was present. The Chairman welcomed and thanked Roby Politi, Supervisor for the Town of North Elba, Butch Martin- North Elba Park District Manager, Jay Rand and Derek Doty, representing the Town of North Elba, Randy Preston, Supervisor for the Town of Wilmington and Diane Monroe for attending. The Chairman then thanked everyone in the audience for their interest in ORDA and their attendance. The Chairman stated that an agenda was included in the board packet. On a motion by Joe Kelly, seconded by Jill Broderick, the minutes of the Board of Directors Meeting held on January 10, 2017 were approved. The Chairman asked Mike to give the President s Report Mike thanked everyone for attending and continued with a PowerPoint presentation that covered the following: In the last Economic Impact Report ORDA was credited with a 156 million dollar annual impact but under further review found a number of issues we were under-credited for- ORDA is changing internal procedures to receive full benefits. UMP amendments for WF focus mainly on Little Whiteface, Bear Den Area and some conceptual ideas for a reservoir for snowmaking and a second bridge.

2 Gore: expansion of reservoir, new trails, re-design beginner areas, potential land reclassification swap. Ski Jumps/Mount Van Hoevenberg improvements to include replacing chairlift, modifying permitted ziplines, installing a year-round tubing operation, adding a 70m jump, installing lighting and expanding the biathlon range for training. Events: On International TV 6 times USCSA NCAA Division 3 Hockey World Cup Bobsled & Skeleton Miracle on Ice Fantasy Camp 4 World Cups International Children s Games ECAC Men s Hockey Championships World University Games ORDA is hosting 4 International events next winter including the International Children s Games in January, ORDA has committed to a Ski/Snowboard Championship, Bobsled World Championship Event and the Men s Division 3 NCAA event and 2023 World University Games. Very trying year for the ski resorts, arctic temperatures followed by heavy rain but everyone worked very hard to rebound. Season pass sales have exceeded growth expectations. Lost Skier at Whiteface: ORDA, DEC and NY State Police led 6.5 days of thorough searching by staff, volunteers and several NYS agencies including Homeland Security. He was found safely in California. Mike introduced Scott Christensen, ORDA s new Vice President of Sales and Marketing then invited Denny Allen to speak. Denny Allen: Denny stated that he is retiring after 37 years then gave a short speech thanking the Board and ORDA Staff for their support. Chairman: The Chairman asked Peggy Evatt to present ORDA s financial report. (Attached) Chairman: The Chairman thanked Peggy and asked if there were any questions or comments? Art Lussi asked about numbers during President s week? Aaron Kellett stated this was the best President s week that Whiteface has ever had- record setting attendance. Gore was over 7000 people and Belleayre also set a record of over 6000 skiers. Joe Kelly stated that the Audit Committee met and reviewed the 18/19 budget by venue, p/l s from January 2018, ORDA s new accounting system, season pass sales and the 18/19 Executive Budget. Joe added that Jill Broderick was now a member of the Audit Committee and is contributing a lot. The Audit Committee also thoroughly reviewed Resolution #317 regarding the Line of Credit. 3 New Business: Resolution #314 Resolution #315 On a motion by Bob Flacke, seconded by Stephen Hunt, the Board adopted Resolution #314- Resolution Adopting Best Value Competitive Bidding and Procurement Policy as amended. On a motion by Bob Flacke, seconded by Bill Beaney, the Board adopted Resolution #315- Resolution in Appreciation of Years of Service to the Olympic Regional Development Authority Roby Politi thanked and congratulated Denny on behalf of Lake Placid and thanked him for his service- not only to ORDA but to the community of Lake Placid. Roby stated that Denny is the most genuine person he knows and honest, sincere and unaffected are perfect adjectives for his character. Roby again thanked Denny for all he has done for Lake Placid. Resolution #316 Resolution #317 Resolution #318 Resolution #319 On a motion by Jill Broderick, seconded by Arthur Lussi,, the Board adopted Resolution #316- Resolution Honoring James Hoyt Sr. On a motion by Jeff Stefanko, seconded by Stephen Hunt, the Board adopted Resolution #317- Resolution Renewing Line of Credit with a Banking Institution On a motion by Arthur Lussi, seconded by Stephen Hunt, the Board adopted Resolution #318- Resolution Honoring NYS Olympians On a motion by Jeff Stefanko, seconded by Stephen Hunt, the Board adopted Resolution #319- Resolution Approving Expenditures Adjournment: Before asking for a motion to adjourn the Chairman reminded the Board to turn in their Ethics Recertification and reminded the Board to reserve the following dates for Board meetings June 27, September 19 and December 12. The Chairman then asked for a motion to adjourn. On a motion from Bill Beaney, seconded by Stephen Hunt, the meeting of the Olympic Regional Development Authority Board of Directors was adjourned at 1: 45pm.
