Sealed tenders are invited from reputed vendors for disposal of obsoletecomputers, printers, furniture, junk Materials etc. on 'as is where is basis'. The above items are located in the premises at Allama Iqbal Library,, Hazratbal, Srinagar, Kashmir. Details for inspection, contact person, tender 1. Date & Time for inspection of items : -5 th to10 th Oct Contact Person: - Mr. Irshad Ahmad Dar, Junior Assistant (Stores) and Mr. Shabir Ahmad Baba 3. Last Date & Time and place for acceptance of tender :-12 th Oct 2015, 3:00 Pm 5. Date & time for opening of tender:15 th Oct 2015 (Tentatively) 6. The bidder should submit a Demand Draft of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand only) drawn in favour of Librarian, Allama Iqbal Library, along with the quotations failing which the tender will be summarily rejected. EMD in any form other than stated above shall not be accepted. The earnest money of the tenderers whose tenders are not accepted will be returned without any interest thereon after finalization of the tender. 7. The complete tender document can be had from the office of the undersigned or can be downloaded from the website of Kashmir university viz In case downloaded Tender Document is provided with the Bid, a Demand Draft amounting to the Rs. 500/- may be furnished as Tender Document Fee pledged to University Librarian,
2 Allama Iqbal Library. The tender document fee can also be deposited in the Accounts Section of Allama Iqbal Library. 9. If any of the days specified above happens to be a holiday, the next working day shall be implied. Bids received after the due date and times are liable to be rejected. 10. Interested firms will be required to quote for all items. 11. The University Librarian reserves the right to reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof. 3 Tender Document 1) Scope of Bid:- a) Allama Iqbal Library wishes to receive bids for the auction of various obsolete items as given in the tender notice on AS IS WHERE IS BASIS. 2) General Terms & Conditions: 1. Bidders may inspect the items on the stipulated date & time and satisfy themselves about the items they are bidding for. 2. The bidder is advised to visit the Library and obtain for itself on his own responsibility all the information that may be necessary for the preparation of the bid 3. Claims and objections due to ignorance of existing conditions will not be considered after submission of the bid. 4. Bids shall be kept valid for 4 months from the final bid due date. 5. Any effort by the bidder to influence the Allama Iqbal Library s processing of bids or award decisions may result in the rejection of bidders bid. 6. The items shall be sold to the highest bidder. 7. List of items are given in Annexure A, 'B' & C. 8. No item once disposed to the successful bidder shall be taken back by this Allama Iqbal library on any condition whatsoever. 9. The bidder will have to take all junk material and whether usable or non usable clean. 10. The successful bidder will be required to make full payment in the from of Demand Draft in favour of Librarian, Allama Iqbal Library within 5 days after conformation, failing to which the offer will be cancelled and EMD shall stand forfeited. 11. The successful bidder(s) will be required to lift all the items from the disposal site within 05 days after receipt of payment. On failure to do so this Department shall have the right to forfeit the EMD amount of the bidder and dispose the items to alternate bidder. 12. The successful bidder, on their own cost, will also be required to make their own
4 arrangement of transport, labour etc. for lifting the disposal items. 13. Quotation letter in sealed envelope marked "TENDER FOR Auction /DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE ITEMS" would be addressed to University Librarian, Allama Iqbal Library,, Hazratbal, Srinagar, Kashmir. 14. The quotation must be dropped in the tender box kept in the Office of University Librarian at first floor, on or before the due date and time otherwise it is liable to be rejected. Tenders received after the due date and time due to any reason whatsoever shall not be considered. 15. Allama Iqbal Library reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations without assigning any reason whatsoever. 16. Incomplete and unsigned quotations are liable to be rejected. 17. Each page of tender document should be signed by the bidder(s). 18. Incomplete and unsigned quotations are liable to be rejected. 19. Bidder must enclose a copy each of address proof (Voter I-Card/Aadhar Card/Driving License etc.) and PAN CARD alongwith the bid. 20. Highest bidder will be required to lift all the items from the site within 5 days 21. The minimum bid amount for the auction has been pre-determined to start from Rs. 3,00,000/ Tenders having bid amount lower than the minimum bid will be straight away rejected.
