5 Executive Board Meeting Tuesday, February 26, 2013 Executive Board reconvened at 5:20pm 2014 Membership Dues Increase Motion by: Sec Rep Scott Dumas and based on the recommendation of the finance committee to raise the national dues by $10.00 for all active members effective January 1, Seconded by: VP Barry Thomas Motion by: Sec Rep Joey Reynolds to raise the national dues by $5.00 for all retired members effective January 1, Discussion. 6 May 16, Grapevine Scott Dumas reports that he sent out a detail financial report to the EB for their review. Motion by: Sec Rep Dumas to reimburse the TX chapter $7k for conference losses. Seconded by: VP Barry Thomas Discussion: Rep Adams expresses his concern with reimbursing TX and setting a precedence for future conferences who experience a loss. He continued by saying that the CA chapter will submit a request for reimbursement for their conference in Long Beach. VP Thomas states we did reimburse Boston for their conference loses. Sec Rep Wingerson sustains from voting Suspension of Billy Hobbs (see letter from the Nebraska chapter) The Nebraska chapter has written a letter to the EB requesting we suspend Billy Hobb s membership. Motion by: VP Cahill to suspend Billy Hobb s membership Seconded by: Sec Rep Reynolds BB&T Money Market Account Nell Cochran Nell Cochran is requesting we move money to our money market account with BB&T.
