4 2018 Election: Women / Young Voters House 309 (D and R); eclipsing the previous record of 298 set in 2012 Senate 29 (D and R) women; this is not yet a record; that was set in 2016 when 40 women ran Currently, women make up less than 20 percent of Congress and out of 535 total members, there are just 22 women senators and 83 women representatives. Gubernatorial Races - 40 women running for governors races, beating the record of 34 in 1994 Young Voters to 29-year-olds, 37 percent increase in the number of young Americans who indicate that they will definitely be voting in 2018 compared to 23 percent, who said the same in

8 The Trump Presidency - Workforce Development Construction industry is ground zero in the worker shortage. Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are 150,000 unfilled construction jobs across the nation, nearly double the number five years ago. The Associated General Contractors of America found that 73 percent of firms are having a hard time finding qualified workers. Per the firms, their major concerns are: 55% identified worker shortage 41% federal regulations 18% lack of infrastructure investment Average age of a construction equipment operator and highway maintenance worker is 46. 13 Multiemployer Pension Reform Despite supporting 13.6 million American jobs in 2015, and contributing $158 billion in federal taxes, along with more than $1 trillion to U.S. GDP, today s multiemployer pension system faces great uncertainty and instability. GROW Act - FCA International supports H.R. 4997, the Give Retirement Options to Workers (GROW) Act, bipartisan legislation designed to modernize and strengthen the multiemployer pension system for the future. This legislation safeguards the multiemployer pension plan system by authorizing the creation of a new type of retirement option, a composite plan, that combines the key features of defined benefit and defined contribution plans. 13

17 Temporary Protected Status On November 17, 2017, FCA sent a letter to DHS requesting the extension of TPS. 300,000 TPS holders: El Salvadoran - live in the Washington, DC (32,359), Los Angeles (30,415) and New York (23,168) metropolitan areas. Honduran - live mostly in the New York (8,818), Miami (7,467) and Houston (6,060) metropolitan areas. Haitian - live mainly in the Miami (16,287), New York (9,402) and Boston (4,302) metropolitan areas. 17
