Prayer was offered by Pastor Dan Mayo, New Vienna Community Church in New Vienna, Ohio, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The journal of the last legislative day was read and approved. The following guests were recognized by the Senate prior to the commencement of business: Senator O'Brien recognized the Champion High School softball team as the 2018 Division III State Champion. Senator Huffman recognized the Lima Central Catholic High School girls golf team as the 2018 Division II State Champion. Senator Peterson recognized Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services as the 2018 Airport Business of the Year. Senator Dolan recognized election class students from Hawken High School. Senator Oelslager requested a moment of silence in honor of 41st President, George H.W. Bush. No Senator Williams To amend sections , , , and and to enact section of the Revised Code to specify that any disqualifying felony conviction, contributory misconduct, or other offense in the Reparations Fund Law be attributed only to the victim and to reduce the look-back period for such conviction, misconduct, or other offense from ten to three years and the ongoing criminal conduct from five years or less to three years or less. No Senator Williams To amend sections and of the Revised Code to grant a person immunity from prosecution for any damage resulting from the forcible entry of a motor vehicle for the purpose of removing a minor or an animal from the vehicle because the minor or animal is in imminent danger of suffering harm.
