Pursuant to Senate Rule No. 3, the Clerk called the Senate to order. Senator Skindell was selected to preside according to the rule. The journal of the last legislative day was read and approved. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE GOVERNOR The President handed down the following messages from the Governor which were read by the Clerk: I, Governor of the State of Ohio, do hereby appoint, Adetokunbo Adelekan, Ph.D., from Centerville, Montgomery County, Ohio, as a Member of the Ohio Commission on Service and Volunteerism for a term beginning November 14, 2018 and ending at the close of business April 21, 2019, replacing Michele Weiss, who resigned. 14th I, Governor of the State of Ohio, do hereby appoint, Barry J. Alexin, MBA, from Westerville, Franklin County, Ohio, as a Member of the Ohio Reclamation Forfeiture Fund Advisory Board for a term beginning November 13, 2018 and ending at the close of business January 10, 2019, replacing Gary Alkire, who resigned.
