Padilla PUBLIC COMMENT: Any person may address the Colton Parks & Recreation Foundation at this time on any subject within the jurisdiction of the City of Colton; however, any matter that requires action will be referred to staff for investigation and report at a subsequent Colton Parks & Recreation Foundation meeting. 2 COLTON PARKS & RECREATION FOUNDATION MEETING MINUTES Board of Directors Meeting Monday, December 11, 2017 The Quarterly Meeting of the Colton Parks & Recreation Foundation was held on the above-given date and was called to order at 5:01 p.m., in the Council Chambers/Conference Room of City Hall, with Jimmy Ramirez, Recreation & Parks Commission Chairperson. FOUNDATION ROLL CALL Directors Present Jimmy Ramirez, (President) Recreation & Parks Commission Chairperson William R. Smith, (CEO) City Manager Aurelio De La Torre, (Treasurer) City Treasurer Deb Farrar, Director of Community Services Nellie Gutierrez, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Carolina R. Padilla, (Secretary) City Clerk Directors Absent David Toro, (Vice-President) Councilmember PUBLIC COMMENTS None ACTION ITEMS 1. Election of New President Director Farrar nominated the name of Jimmy Ramirez, Recreation & Parks Commission Chairperson; no objection; so ratified. 2. Review & approval of minutes of September 11, Motion and Second by Director Smith/De La Tore Vote: All answered aye. Motion carried with Director Toro absent. 3. Reports from the previous quarter a. Quarter 4 (September November 2017) Recreation Scholarship applications and awards i. 74 Applications Received & Approved = $4,173 ii. $84,187 awarded to date b. Fundraising activity = $8, Director Farrar presented for review the Scholarship Applications & Awards and Fundraising Activity for September November 2017; with no objection by Director s present; report received and filed.

Year End Report Director Farrar presented a Year End Report which included all activities for 2017 and a detailed list (handout) 2017 Holiday Donations; with no objections by Director s present; report received and filed. 5. Approval of Foundation Reimbursement to the Community Services Department for Scholarship awards from the previous quarter for $4173. Motion and Second by Director De La Torre/Smith to approve reimbursement in the amount of $4, Vote: All answered aye. Motion carried with Director Toro absent. 6. Treasurer s Report - Foundation financial report Director/Treasurer De La Torre presented an overview of the Foundation Financial Reports for period January 2017 through November 2017; with no objection by Director s present; report received and filed. 7. Old Business/Discussion a) Max Lofy Committee Status Update 1) Approval of Foundation Reimbursement to the Colton Community Services Department for funds raised during the fourth quarter in the amount of $300. Motion and Second by Director Smith/De La Tore to approve reimbursement in the amount of $ Vote: All answered aye. Motion carried with Director Toro absent. 8. New Business/Discussion/Action a. Holiday Donations Report a. Approval of Foundation Reimbursement to the Colton Community Services Department for funds raised for Holiday Programs, in the amount of $7, Motion and Second by Director De La Tore/Smith to approve reimbursement in the amount of $7, Vote: All answered aye. Motion carried with Director Toro absent. b. Keep Colton Clean & Beautiful a. Approval of Foundation Reimbursement to the Colton Community Services Department for funds received in the amount of $200 for Keep Colton Clean & Beautiful program. Motion and Second by Director De La Tore/Ramirez to approve reimbursement in the amount of $ Vote: All answered aye. Motion carried with Director Toro absent.
