US Senator - continued Term: 6 Years Democrat Jeff Merkley I am the first in my family to attend college, and live in the same neighborhood that I grew up in. I will never forget where I came from, and who I am fighting for in the U.S. Senate. I have been a fighter in the Senate for middle class families, pushing for job creation, making college more afford able, taking on the big banks and protecting Social Security and Medicare. I ve held town halls in every county, every year and I will continue to do so every year I am your United States Senator. As a son of a millworker, my first priority is the creation of living wage jobs. We must protect and grow good manufacturing jobs. Rebuilding our roads and bridges would create much needed jobs while investing in our economic future. We must do more to help families afford college. As the first in my family to go to college, I know how important education is. I support lowering student loan rates so families get the same rate big banks get when they borrow from the government. Social Security and Medicare are special covenants we have with our seniors. Work hard your whole life, and Social Security and Medicare will be there for you. I will fight against any attempt to cut Social Security or Medicare benefits. 5

US Senator - continued Term: 6 Years Democrat William Bryk Lawyer with three decades experience in public service; former disciplinary prosecutor for New York City Dept of Correction; former administrative law judge; former Guard officer; newspaper columnist and essayist, published in Cabinet, Last Exit, The New York Chronicle, and Saveur magazines and such newspapers as The Daily Beast, New York Newsday, New York Press, and The New York Sun. Further amend Senate rules of procedure by permitting simple majority to terminate debate and allow business to go forward. Repeal of so-called PATRIOT Act as inimical to national tradition of individual liberty and right to privacy. Withdraw troops from Afghanistan and Iraq; replenish military resources overdrawn by fighting two wars during the last decade. Monica Wehby Former President of the Oregon Medical Association, former Trustee of the American Medical Association, over 30 years of health care policy experience, My first priority when I m elected to the Senate is to work to create jobs, and grow our economy. By working within our means, cutting taxes, unnecessary spending, and regulatory red tap, we ll create jobs, cut our deficit, and grow our economy. 6 My second priority if elected to the Senate is to restore the doctor-patient relationship that we so value here in America. Obamacare needs to be replaced with a patient centered, market based plan. Visit www. monicafororegon.com/heathcare for more. My third priority is to give Oregonians the independent voice in the Senate that they deserve. With Congress at record low favorability ratings, the people of Oregon should have a leader that tells people the truth and represents their interests.

US Senator - continued Term: 6 Years Jo Rae Perkins As a former Certified Financial Planner, Financial Adviser, Banker, businesswoman, wife and mother, I understand what most Americans go through on a daily basis. I have a solid background in financial planning & firmly believe tax dollars belong to the people, not the government. I have a BS in Political Science, minor in Speech Communication, Executive Certificate in Financial Planning and AS in Business Management & more than 30 years of Main Street American life experience, I am qualified. I will work to identify common ground so we can begin to rebuild America to undo the socialist fundamental changes made to America. I will work with my colleagues to identify the role of federal government as defined by the US Constitution. Work towards stopping the unnecessary spending in those areas that are not enumerated in the US Constitution, balance the budget & cut the debt. Identify & close all duplicate agencies & programs in order to build towards the return to States Rights Overturn Doe v Bolton; it legalized late & full term abortions. Then Roe v Wade. No more tax dollars for abortions; Planned Parenthood to be funded by private donors, not taxpayers. We are endowed by our Creator with the unalienable right of life. 7

US Senator - continued Term: 6 Years Mark Callahan I am a problem solver/troubleshooter, and I believe in freedom. I am a very passionate individual, that loves my country, and will do what it takes to secure the freedoms for not only my daughters, but all Americans now and in the future. I am not a typical politician, and I define myself based upon traits that we all have within us: Leadership, Integrity, Character, Honor and Trust. I have the spirit to serve, as a public servant. I am Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, and Pro-God. Full Repeal of ObamaCare, also know as the Affordable Care Act, or MerkleyCare. ObamaCare is socialism, tyranny, government, overreach and it needs to be fully repealed, not just fixed or replaced, but fully repealed, as it is against freedom. Eliminate Common Core, and close the agency that is promoting Common Core, i.e. the U.S. Department of Education. Like ObamaCare, Common Core is evil, socialism, an contrary to the freedom our country was founded upon, as a constitutional republic. Immigration policy, which consists of the following 3 point plan: 1. Secure the Borders. 2, Enforce Existing Law. 3. Say No to Amnesty. 8

US Senator - continued Term: 6 Years Timothy I Crawley University of California, Hastings College of the Law, J.D. Focus in Mediation and Negotiation and International Law; Williams College, B.A., Majors in Economics and Studio Art with a concentration in International Developmental Economics. American University of Beirut. We must enact reforms to curb the influence of special interests on our tax code and laws and restore to Congressional positions, honor and humility in public service. Pay, pensions, and terms are all excessive and need to be reigned-in. We must restore economic freedom through burdensome regulations that are inhibiting entrepreneurial enterprise, education, and access to health care. We must revive proposals to reform immigration by providing families that are residing here, legal status through green cards while concurrently establishing a seamless e-verify system and increased penalties for employers to help secure our border. Jason Conger Candidate did not respond by deadline 9

US Representative Term: 2 Years District 1 Democrat Suzanne Bonamici U.S. Representative; State Senator and Representative; Attorney, Federal Trade Commission; Community Volunteer Continuing to rebuild the economy with living wage jobs by investing in infrastructure, increasing access to capital for businesses, and making sure people are prepared for the jobs that are available. Supporting public education pre-k through college. We need better funding, policies that foster creating thinking, and less teaching to the test. Children must enter school ready to learn and college must be accessible and affordable. Keeping our promises to future generations. This includes protecting earned benefits like Social Security and Medicare, making sure there is a safety net for those in need, and preserving our natural resources. 10

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 1 - continued Delinda Delgado Morgan Prior Candidacy Experience, Executive experience negotiating and successfully completing many Government contracts. Owner of two small businesses including our Martial Arts School for 15 years. Elected Director of local Water Board. Improving Oregon s economy. The current Federally imposed health care plan is a big problem for individuals and small businesses. It must be fully repealed and replaced. Including Tort Reform, interstate commerce and pre-existing conditions. Job Creation is vital. There are too many Federally imposed regulations, fees and taxes stifling entrepreneurs and small businesses who are best equipped for creating good paying jobs. Example: The Federal control of our forests hinders job creation. We need tax reform that is fair and effective for all. Two good solutions include a flat tax or a national consumer tax. This would provide job creation opportunity nation wide and require the Federal Government to operate within it s means. 11

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 1 - continued Jason Yates I have succeeded in every professional venture I have entered in. I have gained control of failing companies, recovered millions of dollars worth of lost inventory, and have increased employee and store productivity. I always put my best foot forward so that the person or company I work for can thrive. This will be true as I represent Oregon in Washington D.C. too! Jason will fight to repeal Obamacare wholly and completely. He will introduce legislation that would allow health insurance companies to sell across state lines (much like car insurance) so that insurance rates would be driven down by competition. Jason will propose a Constitutional Amendment in which the national budget must be agreed upon and passed first before any other bill can be discussed on the floor of the House or Senate. This would cause both parties to work together for the nation. Currently, the federal government owns 53% of Oregon. That means that Oregon isn t even living up to half of it s potential. Jason s plan includes returning all control of land to each appropriate state which will open up thousands of new jobs. Bob Niemeyer Candidate did not respond by deadline 12

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 2 Democrat CF (Frank) Vulliet Unlike the incumbent I understand math and accounting. You can t vote for tax cuts, grant special tax breaks, increase spending, and vote for two unfunded wars without running huge deficits and multiplying the national debt. Blaming others fixes nothing. I am a candidate with military experience and know where budget cuts can and should be made, and where they should not. I have extensively studied history, economics, political science, and foreign affairs with emphasis on the Middle East. Fix Congress. Change Congressional rules to eliminate gridlock, make every Member s vote count, eliminate the Hastert rule which allows one party to decide what can be voted upon, confine each bill to a single topic, 20% of members to force vote. Balance the Federal Budget. Enact a new, progressive Internal Revenue Code that 1) treats all income equally, 2) eliminates special interest tax breaks, 3) each taxpayer with same income to pay the same tax, 4) which will reduce tax rates. Fix the ACA ( Obamacare ). Amend the Affordable Care Act to fix problems and more importantly reduce costs of medical care, hospitalization, medical devices and drugs, particularly where provided at public cost. Protect Medicare & Social Security. 13

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 2 - continued Democrat Aelea Christofferson I have owned my own telecommunications business for 22 years. In that time I ve learned what it takes to create jobs and become the kind of collaborative leader we need in Washington, DC. In recent years, I ve led efforts at the federal level to negotiate changes in my industry and will continue to use my relationships across the country to get good work done for the people of this country. I ve spent many years working on reforming our broken health care system. Now that the Affordable Care Act is up and running, we need to continue to focus on making it work better and signing people up. No is not a plan for keeping people healthy I ll work with any member of Congress who is willing to act to help create jobs in rural Oregon. The 2nd District has a supply of clean energy sources from geothermal in Klamath Falls to wind power in the Gorge. Capitalizing on these will create jobs One of our biggest hurdles is the situation in Washington. Too often politicians are more interested in promoting political parties rather than doing what s right for their districts and their country. I ll work with anyone ready to solve problems. 14

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 2 - continued Democrat Barney Spera President TWU Local 505, BBB Arbitrator, Director Childrens Health Home, International Representative TWU, Administrator TWU Local 551 Raise the minimum wage to a living wage so that no one should be working a 40 hour work week and have to receive SNAP or EITC, or CHIP programs. If Americans have a living wage they will spend their money and then business will prosper & more jobs. Stop the GOP movement to overturn Roe vs Wade. Any woman with a credit card will go to Mexico or Japan for a safe & legal abortion. Teenage girls and the poor will have unwanted pregnancies or attempt to self abort if GOP succeeds. Vote to eliminate the Alternative Minimum Tax and reform our tax code so that anyone will be able to file their own tax form. I favor a flat tax to range from 10% to 17%. 15

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 2 - continued Greg Walden Graduate, University of Oregon; Hood River Valley High Creating Oregon jobs by stopping harmful regulations that stifle job creation, keeping taxes low to encourage job growth and increasing access to our federal timber resources to put people back to work in the woods to restore our rural communities. Promoting health care reform that makes sense. I am committed to replacing Obamacare with sensible reforms to our health care system that allow families, patients and doctors not the federal government to make health care decisions. We must continue to strongly support our veterans and active duty military. We owe our freedom to them. I have consistently worked to ensure they receive the benefits they have earned through years of service. Dennis B Linthicum Candidate did not respond by deadline District 3 Democrat Earl Blumenauer Candidate did not respond by deadline 16

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 3 - continued James Buchal I have come to understand very precisely how federal judges have whittled away Constitutional limitations on government and failed to provide meaningful judicial review of federal agency action. I can see that our federal government is like a fruit tree that has not been pruned for decades, and no longer gives fruit. I can see that passing more laws generally makes things worse. Unlike others, I would focus on pruning what we have rather than seeking glory in new legislative ventures. My first priority will be to stop funding the emerging totalitarian surveillance state. The threat to American freedom justifies a flat refusal to vote for any appropriation bill funding the development and operation of these systems. My second priority will be to stop the unholy alliance of too big to fail banks and financial institutions from looting and destroying America. The unconstitutional theory that the federal government can just print money has corrupted the country. My third priority will be to push for revolutionary changes stripping federal government of control over matters properly left to the states. Fields like education, health care, and natural resource management all suffer too much federal control. 17

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 4 Democrat Peter A DeFazio U.S. Congressman; Chair, Lane County Commissioner; U.S. Air Force Reserve I will continue to fight for increased investment in our crumbling transportation infrastructure that will create thousands of jobs for Oregonians, increase safety, and improve America s competitiveness. I will continue to fight for investment in our children s education and making college affordable for working families. I support Pell grants, federal work study, and student loan forgiveness. I could not have attended college without financial aid. I will continue to defend and protect Social Security and Medicare. I support an improved cost of living adjustment for seniors and think that the wealthiest millionaires should pay the same rate into Social Security as the average American worker. 18

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 4 - continued Art Robinson Medical Scientist, Educator, and Businessman. Washington, DC - Emergency preparedness, medical innovations, and energy production. CONGRESS MUST WORK TOGETHER EFFECTIVELY. I understand the problems of Oregonians. I will work with all principled people regardless of party ideologies to find solutions for our soaring debt, unsustainable over-spending, and unworkable regulations. RESTORING OREGON S JOB- PRODUCING ECONOMY. I will work to lower taxes, decrease regulation and fight the special interests that are preventing Oregonians from thriving. QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL. I will work to restore local control of our schools and return the quality of our schools to the position of number one in the world that they once held. 19

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 5 Democrat Anita Brown 1.Princess Anne Business College/gen l business 2. U.S. Army/medical specialist Income Inequality must be my 1st priority. Rep. Schrader voted with the s in 2013 no to raising the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. It will create millions of jobs as it did the last time it was raised by congress. I oppose the new secret trade agreement TPP which is described as NAFTA on steroids Americans will be competing with Vietnam wages under the TPP. Instead of 3 nations as NAFTA it will be 12 Pacific nations. Rep. Schrader is for the TPP. Healthcare for all. Rep Schrader s Blue Dog or Dixicrats Coalition funded by medical & insurance blocked public option in Imagine a family illness would not bankrupt you, Ted Kennedy worked his entire life for this. Democrat Kurt Schrader Candidate did not respond by deadline 20

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 5 - continued Ben Pollock I am a 4th generation Oregonian, born and raised here. Being involved in small business, I understand the responsibility of signing the front of a paycheck and having employees who depend on me to make decisions. I encounter government s burdensome regulation and taxation on a daily basis, and I know we can do better. I have a master s degree in public policy, have drafted and helped pass legislation, and have spent considerable time involved in the political process. Our number one priority is getting the economy healthy and working towards getting America s fiscal house in order. We must address our debt crisis head on and adopt pro-growth tax reform that will benefit the American people. It is abundantly clear that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is riddled with problems. In Congress, I will make it a priority to deliver free-market healthcare reforms that increase consumer choice and reduce costs. We must reduce the size and scope of the Federal Government s bureaucracy, returning power to the states. Our communities are better off when decision making is happening as close to home as possible. 21

US Representative - continued Term: 2 Years District 5 - continued Tootie Smith Clackamas County Commissioner, State Representative. Local School Committee, Served on Budget Committee and Ways and Means, I will work hard to implement health care that is affordable, patient centered and portable, that tackles the pre-existing conditions issue and tort reform so doctors can practice medicine without fear of being sued. Repeal and replace Obamacare. Sponsor legislation to return ownership of our federal timber lands back to the people of Oregon. DC is a mess and we need family wage jobs here in Oregon. Seek employment opportunities for youth and create a prosperity through reduced regulation. Reduce federal debt by not voting for more of it. Eliminate programs before creating new ones. Remove outdated agencies and programs that will eventually collapse under their own weight because federal government spending is out of control. 22

Governor Term: 4 Years Salary: $93,600 Democrat Ifeanyichukwu C Diru Candidate did not respond by deadline Democrat John Kitzhaber OCCUPATIONAL BACKGROUND: Emergency Room Physician, Roseburg; President, Estes Park Institute EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: South Eugene High School; B.A. Dartmouth College; M.D. University of Oregon Medical School Continue the commitment to creating jobs and growing an economy that has led to the lowest unemployment rate in 5 years and one of the fastest growing state economies. Ensure that our recovery reaches all people by reducing the opportunity gap. Continue our efforts to achieve our education reforms to better prepare our students with a seamless, outcomes-based system of public education from early childhood to college and workforce training. Continue efforts to reform health care, keeping Oregonians healthier at a lower cost. These reforms are projected to improve health through prevention, wellness, and local flexibility and save hundreds of millions of dollars. 23

Term: 4 Years Governor - continued Salary: $93,600 Bruce A Cuff I am a Citizen of the United State of America and a native Oregonian. I am a Constitutional Conservative. I want to return ALL government to the Constitutional restraints that the founders of America and Oregon intended for there to be. If we believe in a citizen-run government, then that s the only qualification that is necessary. Studied Political Philosophy in Roy Cuff s Barber shop (and others) from about 1966 (5 years old) until the present. Businessmen and farmers know what Oregon needs!! Return Local Control of schools to the local community. Eliminate Business Income Taxes ($1B), and cut Personal Income Taxes by 1/3 ($5B) Require the School districts to go directly to the voters for funding they need in the form of a Local sales tax Return Authority for Law Enforcement to the 36 Sheriffs in Oregon. Each County Sheriff knows the challenges and needs of their county better than anyone else. Continue to fund the State Police where it makes sense: Crime Lab, protect State property. Appoint 7 NEW, Local-Control- Friendly members to the Land Conservation and Development Commission. Decisions made at the LOCAL LEVEL will always be preferable to decisions made at the State Level. 24

Term: 4 Years Governor - continued Salary: $93,600 Gordon Challstrom Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Minor in Economics and International Management, University of Nevada-Reno 1993 Family wage job creation. From 2008 thru 2012 families below the poverty rate has jumped from 21,000 to 28,000 or 10% of Oregon families. Due to this children in poverty has grown from 154,000 to 195,00 during the same period which is 23% of all kids Reform Oregon s Education System. Remove the control from the state and give it back to the local school districts. Allocate 5% in additional funding annually until public schools raise graduation rates equal to or superior to charter/ private schools Reform safety net programs by removing policies that lead to dependency rather then fostering self reliance. Reward achievement in ways that allow the family to keep more of their earned income while slowly reducing aid enabling more self reliance. 25

Term: 4 Years Governor - continued Salary: $93,600 Tim Carr No prior government experience. To grow our economy so Oregonians have opportunities throughout our state. Since Gov. Kitzhaber took office in 1995, the average Oregonian has seen his/her per capita income go down, from 95% to 85% of what a Washingtonian earns. It s time to change. To expand opportunities between Oregon and Asia. Oregon is in a great position to address the trade issues that will expand employment throughout our state. To help expand economic opportunities by legalizing pot, and expanding hemp development. This will especially help Southern Oregon in a time of reduced timber demand and increased regulations. Additionally, we need to open more O+C lands. Dennis Richardson Candidate did not respond by deadline 26

Term: 4 Years Governor - continued Salary: $93,600 Mae Rafferty I am a thinker, I have many ideas. Please review my website. I understand the intent of our constitutions, and that our inalienable rights come from God not men. I was born in one of the most conservative states in the Union, Idaho. I have lived in Oregon for approximately 28 years. I am not inclined to be bought, I will always stand for principle. I love the old American way of life which was having liberty to live freely under good and just laws. My first priority is to quickly deregulate. This will do more to help unemployment than reducing taxes. It will also strengthen our industry. Regulations have become oppressive and anti-productive. We need to be free to be productive. Darren Karr Second priority is to assess the state expenses to see where we can cut back. Look at what are the bear necessities and what are merely niceties. The state should not spend tax payers money needlessly. Third priority is to look into reducing taxes. Excessive taxes are tyranny. I believe that once we deregulate, people will be more productive there will be more jobs, and when we trim back government spending that we can and should reduce taxes. Citizen of the United States of America. Over 30 years old. A resident of Oregon for many years. I want to return your government to you. Right now it s controlled by money and special interests and you re represented last, if at all. You should always be first. In fact, money and special interests shouldn t even be considered. Eliminate government waste, and reduce taxes on you. Every dollar wasted comes out of your pocket or doesn t go to someone who needs it. Just about every thing you do is taxed, making everything you do and buy more expensive. Your life can be easier. Give solid, dependable representation to gay people, fix the healthcare mess, ensure there are jobs, fix the education system, provide for better safety, protect our environment, and work to legalize recreational use of marijuana. And more :) 27
