YEAR OF IMPLEMENTATION :- Revised Syllabus will be implemented from June 2012onwards. 3. OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:- This paper is an introductory to the ideas and theories in Political Science. It tries to explain the evolution and usage of these concepts. These concepts and theories will be studied historically and analytically. This will help to understand the concepts with contemporary time. 4. DURATION :- The course shall be a full time course. The duration of course shall be three years. 5. OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:- This paper studies the major constitution of the world by adopting a Comparative approach. The constitutional and legal provisions, the ideological basis, the institutional arrangement and their social and economic background are to be explained, analyzed and evaluated critically. The historical background to individual constitutions are to be emphasized to gain an understanding of its evolution. The comparative perspective enables the student to understand the differences and similarities between the various constitutional arrangements. OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:- This paper studies the classical tradition in Political Theory from Plato to Hegal with the view to understand how the great masters explained and analyzed Political events and problems of their time and prescribed solutions. The text are to be interpreted both in the historical and philosophical perspective to understand the University of the enterprise of Political theorizing. The legacy of the thinkers is explained with the view to establish the continuity and change within the western Political tradition.
