Main Previous Work - Visited by Overseas Senior Officials 1.Seeking sound coopera2on rela2ons with EU countries EUPIC has welcomed the visits by Mr. Herman Van Rompuy- president of the European Council, Mr. Tony Blair- the former Bri,sh Prime Minister, Ms. Angela Merkel- the German Chancellor, Mr. Markus Ederer- the EU ambassador to China and Mr. Jean- Luc Dehaene- former Prime Minister of Belgium. There are more than 3000 person- +me of senior officials from EU members, interna,onal organiza,ons and enterprises from Belgium,Poland, Germany, Czech, Spain, Italy and UK etc.

Execute coopera2ve projects between EU and China Successfully organized 9 edi2ons of EU- China Business &Technology Coopera2on Fair During the past 9 edi,ons of the Fair, there were total 2,400 European companies and 4,400 Chinese companies having a_ended this event. And more than 22,000 B2B matchmaking mee,ngs have been organized. Totally there are 1,465 contracts and inten,on agreements signed and 53 seminars and forums organized. EU- China BTCF has become the most highlighted event in WCIF(West China Interna,onal Fair) and the EU- China interna,onal coopera,on pla6orm.

10 Main Previous Work: Interna2onal Clusters Coopera2on Organizing 3 edi2ons of Sino- France/EU Innova2on Clusters Coopera2on Forum On October 17, 2010, Sino- France Innova,on Clusters Coopera,on Forum was held in Chengdu. Mr. Cao Jianlin, deputy minister of MoST, Mr. Luc Rousseau, deputy minister of French Industry Ministry, and more than 200 a_endees from na,onal clusters, research organiza,ons and companies par,cipated in this forum. On Sep. 27, 2011, the 2nd Sino- France Innova,on Clusters Coopera,on Forum was held in Montpellier, France. A_endees include government officials from MOST,TORCH, Sichuan Government and more than 300 par,cipants from various clusters and enterprises from China and France. Oct 22, 2014, the 3rd EU- China Cluster Coopera,on Seminar held in Chengdu. Par,cipants include DG Enterprise and Industry, EU delega,on to China and 15 European clusters from over 10 countries and 32 Chinese clusters throughout the country, with a total number of over 150 par,cipants.

11 Main Previous Work: Going out 2014 West China Business Delega2on to Europe June 11-21,2014, EUPIC organized a business mission of 82 par,cipants making a frui6ul business visit to Belgium, the Czech Republic and Germany. During the visit, EU- China Innova,on Coopera,on Forum, Sino- Czech General Avia,on Forum and Sino- Germany Projects Promo,on and B2B mee,ngs held between Chinese and European organiza,ons have been organized. Also the government leaders from China and the Czech Republic have jointly signed the Memorandum of Sino- Czech General Avia+on Clusters Coopera+on.

12 Main Previous Work: Going out 2015 Hi- Tech Business Delega2on to Europe June 3-13, 2015, EUPIC organized a business mission of 66 par,cipants making a frui6ul business visit to Poland and Italy. During the visit, Lodz (Poland) Sichuan (China) Economic Coopera,on Seminar, EU- CHINA Days: Joint Coopera,on to Enhance Investments and Business Opportuni,es and B2B mee,ngs held between Chinese and European organiza,ons have been organized. Also the government leaders from China and the Sicily (Italy) have jointly signed the Memorandum of Coopera+on between Sichuan and Sicily.

17 Successful Incuba2on Cases Tieto Informa2on Technology of Finland As one of the listed leading IT service companies in Finland, Tieto came to China in early 2008 and set up a branch in Chengdu Tianfu Sohware Park in June 2009, with 1,500 employees in China. Eurocopter- China: Established in 1992, Eurocopter Group is a Division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace, defense and related services. Eurocopter started coopera,on with China Civil Avia,on Flight University in August of 2011 to ini,ate the 147 rotor training program in China. Freudenberg Group: Freudenberg Group is one of the biggest mul,- na,onal corpora,ons specialized in sealing and shock- absorp,on technology. It has 203 subsidiaries, 28,500 employees over 25 countries in the world. On May 7, 2012, Chengdu Freudenberg Company held the founda,on- laying ceremony in Xindu District s East Industrial Zone. 17

Main Achievements 4 Sino-EU company cooperation projects Successfully promoted more than 40 interna,onal business coopera,on and projects with a total value of RMB500 million and driven the rela,ve industrial value of RMB2 billion. These projects and coopera,on have improved innova,on and interna,onal compe,,veness of the SMEs from China and Europe. Some Chinese companies such as Forward Technology, Alltech Medical, Guibao Sealants, Tongwei Group and Tiger Microwave etc. have cooperated with European partners in joint technology R&D, technology transfer and direct investments.

Main Achievements Successful cooperation: Ø Chengdu Forward Technology Co., Ltd. cooperated with Bachmann from Austria to develop the main Control System of MW Wind Turbine, which was the first technology in China and realized industrializa,on of the wind power industry. Ø Chengdu Guibao Sealant Company co- built up a produc,on line with Turello Company from Italy with an investment of RMB60 million and combined their advanced manufacturing technology and design of the reac,on of fluorine tank respec,vely. Ø Chengdu Simutech, Chengdu Engineering Coopera,on and Dassault from France together funded RMB150 million to build up China Digitalized Engineering Innova,on Center. Dassault will be responsible for the basic func,on development; Simutech and CDEC will develop the applica,on expansion and system design.
