9 Energy service market development - Germany Title: Market study on energy services market Objective: deepen the insights on the market for services and to improve the empirical basis Results: Reliable information on the national status of the market for energy services. Identification of challenges and opportunities for further development of the market for energy services Preconditions/Requirements: Ø Ø Ø Ø a desire to support and further develop the market for energy services; financing for the study; expert institution; room for follow up actions/studies 9

10 Financing model for energy efficiency market Bulgaria Title: Energy Efficiency and Renewable Sources Fund Objective: to further develop the Bulgarian energy efficiency market. 12 SME Green Deal The Netherlands Title: MKB Green Deal - Wasted energy is estimated at costing SMEs approximately 300 m per annum and minor changes have the potential to generate large savings Objectives and targets: to show SMEs the potential of energy efficiency and improve uptake of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies. 14 SME Guidebook - Austria Title: Energy Management Light - guideline for SMEs Objective: spread knowledge on the certification of energy management systems (EN16001 oriso 50001) to medium sized SMEs and remove concerns over practicability of energy management systems (EMS). Provide a simple and easy entrance for SMEs to energy efficiency. Results: Generated awareness for e.e and EMS amongst medium sized SMEs, saves SMEs time Preconditions/Requirements: Ø a commitment to support and further develop the market for energy services; Ø financing for the study ( 72,000.00); Ø expert input 14

15 Informing and advising final customers Sweden Title: Local energy advice in regional and national networks Objective: to achieve a nationwide highly skilful, trusted, creative and active advisory service. Results: 290 municipalities supported. A survey showed that 78% of those seeking advice had taken action to save energy (behaviour change and investment). 39% of these had made a change of their heating system, among other actions. The single most important source of information for these people in influencing their decisions was the municipal energy and climate advisor (26%). Preconditions/requirements: Ø strong regional networks, Ø an extensive national training programme for advisors Ø advisors are civil servants, employed by the local authority. 15
