He is leading the way and we have only to follow his strength and believe that we can and will bring the nation of hardworking men and women back to the forefront! And we will! This is my last letter to you all as President, it has been quite the year filled with many exciting moments, speakers and some fun. I would like to thank each and every one of the wonderful, talented women who served as your Executive Officers and Board the past two years. Many, many thanks to Eleanor Mills, who stayed on the Board just one more year to serve as my mentor. Her wisdom and experience are priceless, and we can all learn from her. Note to future candidates do not discount the seniors they have already been there and done that, and besides I think they know where the bodies are buried. 8 Know Thine Enemy Part 2 by Steve Esh Where did the modern Democrats mastery of confrontational techniques begin? The defining handbook of manipulative confrontation tactics was written in 1971 by Saul Alinsky. Alinsky's techniques were studied and practiced by both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and are the tactics which the Democrats and media use effectively today. Who was Saul Alinsky and what did he teach? This part begins to answer these questions and the mindset that drives it. In his 1971 book, Rules for Radicals, he wrote this dedication, To...the first radical known to man, who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom Lucifer. Alinsky was born in Chicago in 1909, where he grew up in its streets. He eventually went to the University of Chicago, graduating with a degree in Criminology. While doing graduate work in criminology, his studies led him to the infamous gangster Al Capone of the Chicago mob and the mobsters with whom Alinsky hung out. Alinsky also studied criminals in prison and prison life, learning how mobsters and criminal con-men think. He was developing what is called his Alinsky ideology, the techniques for organizing and controlling mass organizations created to get power. Alinsky Spent the rest of his life as a professional community agitator, or organizer as Obama called it. He worked extensively with labor unions and left wing radicals. He created and mobilized anger in groups and created public confrontations, refining his techniques. He was arrested and jailed several times. He wrote that his aim was to show how to organize and fight for power. Alinsky's work has been used as the definitive agitator's bible since the 1970s and its teachings are the standard operations manual for progressives, humanists, left-wing socialists and violent groups like Antifa. It teaches both a mindset and the tricks these groups use to defeat their opposition Alinsky began by stating,...all values and factors are relative, fluid and changing... This is opposed to having lasting principles of ethics and morality. We have difficulty dealing with modern progressive assaults because we are fixed in our way of thinking, while the enemy's thinking is fluid and maneuvers adaptively.
9 Alinsky taught his students,...destruction is always implicit in the act of creation...the greatest enemy of individual freedom is the individual himself. Thus destruction is useful and people are enemies of their own freedom. That says personal freedom is the enemy of freedom! This is an example of how they twist words. The corruption in Alinsky's claim is subtle it needs careful consideration to see it for what it is. This is one reason the progressives are dumbing down our schools. Uninformed, emotional young people are easy to manipulate. Alinsky advises, Radicals must be resilient, adaptable to shifting political circumstances, and sensitive enough to the process of action and reaction to avoid being trapped by their own tactics. Alinsky then presents what he calls the science of revolution. He tells how to turn have nots against haves, which are defined to fit the political agenda. The anger thus created is manipulated by the organizer. It's a foundation for class and race warfare. It's what's behind the shouting to punish whiteness, conservatives and Republicans. Early in his first presidential campaign, Obama said that he was a blank screen on which people projected their own wants. For the radical, this is the golden path to societal chaos. Alinsky wrote, More than 100 years ago, Tocqueville...commented that self-indulgence accompanied by concern for nothing except personal materialistic welfare was THE major menace to America's future. Democrats manipulate this. If the radical elements can create chaos, then they can present themselves as the answer to it. Alinsky teaches, The...question 'Does the end justify the means?' is meaningless as it stands; the real and only question...always has been, 'Does this particular end justify this particular means?'...life and how you live it is the story of means and ends. The end is what you want and the means is how you get it...the man of action has no other problem. In other words, ethics are circumstantial. If we don't understand this huge difference and continue to just complain when they don't play fair, we lose. We must anticipate their mindset and tactics to effectively oppose them. In part 3, we'll see how Alinsky's doctrines about rules and ethics are used and justified. We'll see how Alinsky's disciples manipulate honest values to capture and keep followers. Part 4 will investigate the actual, specific tactics he teaches to confound opposition and seize power. Steve Esh ~ ARW associate member
10 He explains, saying, Remember we are talking about revolution, not revelation; you can miss the target by shooting too high as well as too low. First, there are no rules for revolution any more than there are rules for love or rules for happiness, but, there are rules for radicals who want to change their world...to know these is basic to a pragmatic attack on the system...begin where the world is...that means working in the system. This is the origin of the radical Deep State. It's a repudiation of all traditional moral and ethical foundations. It says revolutionaries must enter government, education, entertainment and media, while placing effective tactics above all other considerations. That's what they've done. We're seeing the results. How does an agitator motivate people to follow? Alinsky explains, A revolutionary organizer must shake up the prevailing patterns of their lives agitate, create disenchantment and discontent with the current values, to produce, if not a passion for change, at least a passive, affirmative, non-challenging climate. That last phrase is reminiscent of Lord Acton's classic statement, All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing. A more suitable modern phrasing would be...for good men to do nothing that's effective. Two highly effective tricks have been successfully used against us. One is political correctness, which is used to attack our values and scare people into not challenging their agenda. Political Correctness is a weapon of mind control, wielded by self-appointed elites, to terrorize their opposition into saying and doing nothing to oppose their agendas. The second trick is to re-define words. They take a word that has positive connotations and use it in a different way to represent something we would never approve. They depend on people to automatically associate the original good connotations so as to legitimize something very different. For example, take the word inclusive. That used to mean not discriminating. Now it means we must accept anti-social behaviors that were previously unacceptable. Notice Alinsky said the organizer has to create anger, discontent and disenchantment with traditional values. Angry people don't think clearly. They become much easier to manipulate and then direct as human weapons. That's what politicians such as Maxine Waters are doing when they call for threatening behaviors against conservatives and Trump's supporters and officials.
