2 TOGETHER WE RISE: USCPR 2018 NATIONAL CONFERENCE ABOUT USCPR The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) is a national coalition of hundreds of groups working to advocate for Palestinian rights and a shift in US policy. Founded in 2001 as the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, USCPR has been a leading player in the movement for Palestinian rights in the United States. The coalition is bound by commonly shared principles on Palestine solidarity as well as our anti-racism principles. TOGETHER WE RISE: THE 2018 NATIONAL CONFERENCE The 2018 national conference, entitled Together We Rise: The Struggle for Collective Justice from the US to Palestine, will take place in St. Paul, MN from September 28-30, 2018 at the Intercontinental St. Paul Riverfront. Over three days, organizers, activists, and laypeople will convene to discuss strategies and lessons learned from the latest boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaigns across the country, learn how to build and translate grassroots power into policy changes, celebrate resilience across movements for collective justice from the US to Palestine, and more. Plenary sessions include: Together We Rise: Resilience Across Movements, Palestine Update, Intersectional Feminism & Gender Justice, Palestine in US Politics, and Global Movements: Past and Present. Organizers and activists will be encouraged to submit proposals and workshops along thematic lines ( tracks ), for the purpose of highlighting the critical work being undertaken for Palestinian rights and in other movements for freedom, justice, and equality across the US. The 2018 national conference tracks are: Palestine 101. Transforming Power from the Grassroots to the Grasstops, Skill Building to Win, Cultural Resistance, and Together We Rise.
