9 Immigration Information and Monitoring System Formally launch on 20 th October, 2008 A web based system, developed on php as front end and mysql database Capture all the information of foreign national entering via Land and Air Linked with Labor Net System (Foreign worker recruitment) All the information pertaining to Permits and cards are stored in the database for ready reference

10 Plans and Programs Strengthening Immigration Inspection System - form special task force for nation wide inspection at regular interval Infrastructure Development for Regional Immigration Offices - to open service counters in Phuentsholing, Gelephu and Samdrupjongkhar - open additional check post - construct regional offices Infrastructure Renovation of HQ - build customer friendly service counter - renovate the old office building Strengthening of ICT Sector - develop Immigration Information and Monitoring System - incorporate biometric feature into the overall Immigration Information and Monitoring System - to integrate visa issuance system into the Immigration Information and Monitoring System - provide the RIOs and check posts with proper infrastructure and necessary equipments
