3 IRAQ In, IOM asssted Syran reugees and Iraq returnees through the provson o transportaton assstance, Non-Food Items, and lvelhood nterventons. Snce August 15th, over 60,000 Syran reugees crossed nto Iraq through the Sehela and Peshkabour border. At the onset o the nlux, IOM border montorng teams noted and set up 24-hour shts to transport 26,377 Syrans to neghbourng towns and vllages n the rst 7-day perod. IOM receved $7,213,855 under the RRP 5 or rele operatons n Iraq n and asssted more than 103,000 ndvduals aected by the Syra conlct. IOM works wth to buld the copng mechansms o reugee communtes through vocatonal tranng, lvelhood assstance programs and the dstrbututon o essental NFI kts (or summer and wnter) to vulnerable reugees and Iraq returnee amles. 4 JORDAN Snce July 2012, Syrans leeng volence have crossed nto Jordan n ncreasng numbers necesstatng mmedate transportaton, processng and recepton servces. The UN Task Force n Amman endorsed IOM as the lead agency or the orderly, sae and humane transportaton o Syrans rom border collecton ponts to Za atr and Emrate Jordanan camps. In July 2012, IOM started operatng road convoys rom transt stes to reugee camps to assst Syran reugees to reach places o saety as soon as they had crossed the border nto Jordan. IOM s transport, health, and repatraton assstance has benetted over 362,000 ndvduals. IOM receved $7,030,940 under the RRP 5 or rele operatons n Jordan n and asssted more than 360,000 ndvduals aected by the Syra conlct. 5 TURKEY From January to December, IOM asssted over 52,000 benecares wth non-ood tems, transportaton assstance, and through the provson o washng and santaton acltes. Accessng basc non-ood personal care tems partcularly blankets, mattresses and bed lnens s a prorty or Syran reugees n Turkey. IOM works closely wth the Dsaster Management Presdency (AFAD) to provde transportaton servces to Syrans n Adyaman Camp. Addtonally, n order to mantan an ecent, centralsed regstraton system, IOM provded VSAT equpment or nstallaton n all the camps. IOM receved $4,334,110 under the RRP 5 or rele operatons n Turkey n and asssted 52,454 Syrans wth transport (15,000), repatraton assstance (33), and NFIs (non-ood tems) and WASH (water, santaton, and hygene) asstance (6,615).
