1 Dear Date 10/06/09 Your Ref Our Ref RM/1418 Enquiries to Richard Mutch Extension Direct Line Direct Fax FREEDOM OF INFORMATION INFECTIOUS DISEASES I write in response to your request of 28 April 2008 for information in relation to infectious diseases contracted abroad and treated within NHS Lothian. Please detail any other infectious diseases contracted abroad, and treated in the Lothian Health Authority from 1 January 2008 to the present date. Please include the disease, number of cases, date and location of contraction, symptoms of disease, details of recovery, medicines used to treat the disease, where these medicines were purchased from and at what cost, and stock levels of medicines both at the time of treatment, and at the present time. I am advised by Dr Janet Stevenson, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, NHS Lothian that the date and location of contraction, symptoms of disease, details of recovery and medicines used to treat the disease, are not recorded outwith the individual s medical file.
