Located on the front table will be forms entitled, Speaker Request Form. Please fill one out indicating your name and address and the agenda item or topic you wish to discuss. The New Jersey Open Public Meetings Law was enacted to insure the public s right to have advance notice of and to attend meetings of public bodies at which business affecting their interest is discussed or acted upon. WHEREAS, the Roxbury Township Board of Education awarded a contract for the Rooftop Unit Replacement at Roxbury High School project to Midcoast Mechanical, Inc., 6 Columbia Road, Neptune, NJ in the total contract lump sum of $946, at the May 5, 2014 board meeting, and WHEREAS, the contract awarded to Midcoast Mechanical, Inc. included an allowance for contingency items in the amount of $10,000, and WHEREAS, unforeseeable physical conditions and/or minor modifications to the project scope have arisen, and: WHEREAS, N.J.A.C. 6A:26-4.9(a)1 permits district boards of education to approve change orders to the contract, and WHEREAS, the following change orders were previously approved by the Board of Education at the July 21, 2014, November 18, 2014 and September 22, 2014 board meetings; *Mt. The total contingency allowance applied to this item is $0.00. The new contract sum will be increased by this change order in the amount of $23, The new Contract Sum including this Change Order will be $1,042, The Contract Time will remain unchanged at November 9, 2014 for the base contract scope of work, and extended to April 24, 2015 for work associated with this change order. Change Order Number MMI-04 Revised Scope Modify scope of work outlined in change order MMI-03, which was to provide and install five new unit ventilators in the science wing at Eisenhower Middle School, as outlined on drawings M-10, M-11, and E- 11, all dated July 23, Scope remains similar, except utilizing five new Trane unit ventilators with rooftop condensing units. Scope includes cutting and patching of existing roof (currently under warranty). Portions of the scope that remain the same as from change order MMI-03 include removing five existing units and turning them over to the owner for storage; adjusting piping and controls as required; setting and connecting five new units; and all associated work for a complete installation. Original change order MMI-03 was executed in the amount of $116,725.00; the total cost for this revised option is $139,999.00; for a difference of $23, Amount $23, *Mt. RESOLVED, that the Roxbury Township Board of Education acknowledges receipt of the Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Report ending March 6, SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR THE 2015/2016 SCHOOL YEAR *2. RESOLVED, that the 2015/2016 School Calendar be amended as listed below. (Exhibit 1) February 12, ½ hour day for students; Teacher In-Service Day June 20, ½ hour day for students; full staff day June 22, 2016 Teacher In-Service Day; last staff day NEW SCHEDULE AT EISENHOWER MIDDLE SCHOOL 3. RESOLVED, that the Roxbury Board of Education approve the implementation of a new schedule at Eisenhower Middle School beginning September The new schedule will be approved for 2 school years; 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that prior to September 2015 the middle school administration will provide students, staff and parents with information that will facilitate the transition to a new schedule in September BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that during the course of the 2 years the new schedule is in effect, the middle school administration will gather both hard data and subjective information about the effectiveness of the program; this information will include but not be limited to: any increase or decrease in student performance; the number of attendance and disciplinary issues. The middle school administration will share this data periodically with the Central Office administration and the Board of Education. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the middle school administration, with the approval of the superintendent, will be able to make modifications in the schedule as a result of new information which is the result of living with the new schedule and recognizing minor changes which could not have been anticipated. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that no later than April of 2017 the middle school administration will solicit input from students, staff, and parents regarding the success of the new schedule and will then solicit ongoing support of the revised schedule on a permanent basis beginning in September of *Mt.
