Particular attention to research & scholarly productivity as a goal with benefits to individuals, departments & institution. I. Call to Order: Mikio Nihira, Chair, called the meeting to order at 5:47 p.m. in the Provost s Conference Room, Bird Library. A quorum was present. II. Approval of October 2014 minutes a motion was made by Kari Boyce to accept the October minutes seconded by Muayyad Al-Ubaidi. All were in favor to approve the October 2014 minutes. Motion Passed. 4 DRAFT III. Report of Executive Committee Update on Purchasing, Dr. Hanigan said there is continuing communication with the Associate Vice President in Purchasing. Problems will be fixed and improvements are happening. The Provost supports the need on progress with supplies. Dr. Hanigan will keep the senate updated. Update on external speaker, Dr. Nihira is moving forward to request Dr. Zakaria to speak about the USA Health Care System. Dr. Andrews is supportive with this speaker. This speaker has spoken on the Norman campus but not on the Health Sciences Center campus. Inclement weather issues, per the Provost, he has the authority to keep the campus open based on the best available information. Announcement for campus to stay open or closed is by 10:00 p.m., the prior evening. IV. Committee and Department Reports A. Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) See October 23, 2014, ITAC Meeting Notes. B. Committee on Committee Reports (see report) provided by Carol Clure. The Faculty Appeals Board committee has two replacements for the College of Public Health. Helene Carabin and David Thompson to replace Sarah Vesely and Christina Shay. Francene Weatherby, made a motion to accept the committee appointments. Julie Stoner seconded the motion. All were in favor of approving the committee appointments. V. Unfinished Business - None VI. New Business - None VII. Announcements Dr. Kari Boyce has completed her term and Dr. Marie Hanigan will begin her term with the Oklahoma State Regents Higher Education Faculty Advisory Council. VIII. Adjournment Motion to adjourn by Patsy Smith and seconded by Julie Stoner. All were in favor.
