14 Zaatari Camp Facts 78,994 Total Persons of Concern (pdated in 4 th of Febrary 2018) 80% of the poplation is from dara a (sothern of Syria). 461,701 refgees have passed throgh the camp 41% of the poplation is below 18 years. 1 in 5 hoseholds are headed by women. Average of 80 births per week, and 14,000 weekly consltations. The majority of refees in the camp are from Da'ara Governorate in Syria. The camp is nder the joint administration of the Jordanian Government and UNHCR.

15 Zaatari Camp Facts Cont 29 schools (12 facilities) 22,000 school-aged children enrolled. 27 commnity centres provide psychosocial spport & recreational activities. 1 hospitals with 55 beds and 10 health care centres, 1 delivery nit 120 commnity health volnteers.

17 Azraq Camp facts 35,529 refgees are actally in the camp ot of 53,757 persons of concern registered. 41% of the poplation is below 18 years. 1,233 people with disabilities, 37% of these are children. 3 in 10 hoseholds are headed by women. 8,637 shelters crrently allocated 10,023 shelters bilt since opening. 27% of the poplation is from Aleppo, 17% from Homs.

18 Jordan s Response Since the start of the Syrian refgee inflx in March 2011 Jordan has pheld the clear attitde of not interfering in the conflict between the Syrian government and opposition grops in Syria. Instead, the Kingdom calls on the international commnity to find a diplomatic soltion to the Syrian Crisis and to pt an end to the movements of Syrian forced migrants towards the neighboring contries. Jordan has also repeatedly emphasized the need to financially spport the main host contries of Syrian refgees in the region. When the first Syrian refgees came to Jordan at the beginning of the crisis, they fond a safe haven in Jordanian homes along the border between the two contries. Some Syrian refgee families are still living in the homes of Jordanian families. This is especially common in Al-Ramtha region in the far northwest of Jordan where there are strong historic ties and tribal relations of Jordanians and Syrians originating from Daraa' region in sothwestern Syria.

19 Jordan s Response Cont When the refgee inflx increased, the Jordanian government and international organizations, especially UNHCR, started to provide protection and relief services. On 13 Janary 2013, the government established a department for Syrian refgee camps affairs which was later modified and renamed "Syrian Refgee Affairs Directorate". Since its reform, it has been responsible for all Syrian refgees in the Kingdom, providing hmanitarian services and coordinating refgee aid activities between the Jordanian government and international and local organizations and associations as well as coordinating donor spport.

20 Jordan s Response Cont In Febrary 2016, Jordan participated in the Syrian crisis-related donors' conference in London which provided a basis for cooperation between donor contries and refgee hosting contries and otlined several integrated steps to spport Jordan with regard to the Syrian Crisis and its repercssions. 1. Trning the Syrian refgee crisis into a development opportnity that attracts new investments and opens p the EU market for Jordanian prodcts, creating jobs for Jordanians and Syrian refgees whilst spporting the post-conflict Syrian economy; 2. Rebilding Jordanian host commnities by adeqately financing throgh grants the Jordan Response Plan (see below), in particlar with regard to enhancing the resilience of host commnities; and 3. Mobilizing sfficient grants and concessionary financing to spport the macroeconomic framework and address Jordan's financing needs over the next three years, as part of Jordan entering into a new Extended Fnd Facility program with the International Monetary Fnd (IMF).
