29 METROPOLITAN UTILITIES DISTRICT Inter-Department Communication August 30, 2013 Subject: To: From: INCREASES FOR EMPLOYEES WITH SALARIES OVER $10,000 PER YEAR Personnel Committee cc: Board Members, Clark, Bucher, Doyle, Keep, Schneider Patrick L. Tripp, Vice President, Human Resources Promotional Increases Bargaining Unit Since the annualized wages for these employees is over $10,000 per year, Board approval of these increases is required. It is recommended that the Board of Directors approve these increases effective September 14, Ebony Craine, Administrative Clerk II; Customer Service Division; Customer Services Department, is being recommended for a promotion to the position of Customer Account Clerk III; Customer Accounting Division; Rates, Regulatory Affairs, and Revenues Department. Ms. Craine's promotion would be from $21.17 per hour, which is the Step 8 wage for the Administrative Clerk II job classification to $22.72 per hour, which is the Step 5 wage for the Customer Account Clerk III job classification. ($33, per year based on 1,456 work hours.) Ms. Craine has been with the District since March 14, Karol Purdham, was promoted at the August 2013 Board Meeting. The August Board Letter showed her wage to be frozen at $ Her correct wage is $ ($50, per year based on 2,080 work hours.) David Smith, Computer Aided Drafting Technician I; Engineering Design Division; Engineering and Construction Department, is being recommended for a promotion to the position of Sr. Computer Aided Drafting Technician; Engineering Design Division; Engineering and Construction Department. Mr. Smith's promotion would be from $21.06 per hour, which is the Step 2 wage for the Computer Aided Drafting Technician I job classification to $25.45 per hour, which is the Entry wage for the Sr. Computer Aided Drafting Technician job classification. ($52, per year based on 2,080 work hours.) Mr. Smith has been with the District since August 01, Promotional Increases - Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Bruce Burton, Vice President, Infrastructure; Information Technology Department, is being recommended for a promotion from the Grade M-10 TX, to the Grade M-11 on the Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Scale. Mr. Burton has been with the District since April 23, In view of the additional responsibilities of this position as a Vice President, Infrastructure, it is recommended that the President be authorized to increase the salary of Mr. Burton from $134,315 to $137,737 per year, effective September 16, 2013.
30 Increase for Employees With Salaries Over $10,000 Per Year Page 2 Patricia Duckworth, Administrative Clerk III; Gas Production Division; Gas Operations Department, is being recommended for a promotion to the position of Project Specialist; Human Resources; Human Resources Department. Ms. Duckworth's promotion would be from the Step 5 wage of Administrative Clerk III to the Grade M-01 on the Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Scale. Ms. Duckworth has been with the District since December 12, In view of the additional responsibilities of this position as a Project Specialist, Human Resources, it is recommended that the President be authorized to increase the salary of Ms. Duckworth from $45,573 to $52,188 per year, effective September 16, Michael Gripp, Senior Electrician; Maintenance Division; Water Operations Department, is being recommended for a promotion to the position of Foreman, Mechanical Maintenance; Maintenance Division; Water Operations Department. Mr. Gripp's promotion would be from the Grade Step 4, to the Grade M-M5 on the Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Scale. Mr. Gripp has been with the District since January 16, In view of the additional responsibilities of this position as a Foreman, Mechanical Maintenance, it is recommended that the President be authorized to increase the salary of Mr. Gripp from $71,552 to $75,130 per year, effective September 16, Terry Huismann, Business Analyst II; Information Technology Department, is being recommended for a promotion to the position of Senior Business Analyst; Information Technology Department. Mr. Huismann's promotion would be from the Grade M-05, to the Grade M-06 on the Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Scale. Mr. Huismann has been with the District since September 26, In view of the additional responsibilities of this position as a Senior Business Analyst, it is recommended that the President be authorized to increase the salary of Mr. Huismann from $86,227 to $93,554 per year, effective September 16, Dhanachezhiyan Mahalingam, Business Analyst II SAP; Information Technology Department, is being recommended for a promotion to the position of Senior Business Analyst; Information Technology Department. Mr. Mahalingam's promotion would be from the Grade M-05, to the Grade M-06 on the Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Scale. Mr. Mahalingam has been with the District since August 04, In view of the additional responsibilities of this position as a Senior Business Analyst, it is recommended that the President be authorized to increase the salary of Mr. Mahalingam from $86,227 to $93,554 per year, effective September 16, Sumit Mathur, Director, SAP Basis Administration; Information Technology Department, is being recommended for a promotion from the Grade M-07, to the Grade M-08 on the Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Scale. Mr. Mathur has been with the District since February 27, In view of the additional responsibilities of this position as a Director, SAP Basis Administration; it is recommended that the President be authorized to increase the salary of Mr. Mathur from $101,312 to $109,720 per year, effective September 16, 2013.

Ms. Simon has been with the District since March 16, In view of the additional responsibilities of this position as an Executive Secretary, it is recommended that the President be authorized to increase the salary of Ms. Simon from $58,989 to $61,939 per year, effective September 16, Vikram Tharigonda, Business Analyst II SAP; Information Technology Department, is being recommended for a promotion to the position of Senior Business Analyst, Information Technology Department. Mr. Tharigonda's promotion would be from the Grade M-05, to the Grade M-06 on the Supervisory, Professional and Administrative Scale.
