Relative to recognizing and commending Beatrice "Bea" Lizama Fernsler on her retirement from the Social Security Administration (SSA) Guam District Office; and to further extending Un Ddngkolo Na Si Yu'os Ma'dse' to her for her dedicated and exceptional service to the people of Guam. 1 BE T RESOLVED BY THE COl\tlMTTEE ON RULES OF 2 MNA'TRENTA DOS NA LHESLATURAN GUAHAN: 3 WHEREAS, Beatrice "Bea" Lizama Fernsler was born and raised on Guam; 4 and is the daughter of Juan Bermudes Castro and Estefania Lizama Castro; and 1

3 1 \VHEREAS, Bea is married to Frederick Fernsler; and they have two (2) adult 2 children, Anthony Robert Fernsler and Marie Fernsler Eclavea; and are also blessed 3 with five (5) grandchildren; and 4 WHEREAS, Bea Lizama Fernsler graduated from the Academy of Our Lady 5 of Guam in 1970; and she had also attended the University of Guam; and 6 WHEREAS, Bea began her federal employment with the U.S. Department of 7 Defense, and she worked at the U.S. Naval Supply Depot at Naval Station Guam, 8 from April 1974 to January 1975; and 9 WHEREAS, on August 13, 1978, Bea Lizama Fernsler began working at the 10 Social Security Administration (SSA) Guam District Office; and she then transferred 11 to the SSA Office in Coos Bay, Oregon, in January 1982; and 12 WHEREAS, Bea returned to Guam in July 1985, and she continued in her 13 federal employment working with the SSA Guam District Office; and she will retire 14 on August 1, 2014 after thirty-six (36) years of federal service with SSA; and 15 \VHEREAS, Bea Lizama Fernsler is an active member of the Marianas Sports 16 Officials Association, and she regularly officiates at SK events and at school cross- 17 country events; and 18 \VHEREAS, Bea is also a member of the Guam Track and Field Association, 19 and had served as a Secretary of the organization. She had also travelled to different 20 parts of the world on behalf of the Guam teams; and 21 WHEREAS, after her retirement, Bea Lizama Fernsler plans to babysit her 22 grandchildren for a few months, and then travel to Texas to meet up with family and 23 friends; now therefore, be it 24 RESOLVED, that the Committee on Rules of 1\1ina 'Trentai Dos Na 25 Liheslaturan Guahan does hereby, on behalf of Liheslaturan Guahan and the people 26 of Guam, recognize and commend Beatrice "Bea" Lizama Fernsler on her retirement 2

4 1 from the Social Security Administration Guam District Office; and does further 2 extend Un Dangkolo Na Si Yu'os Ma'ase' to her for her dedicated and exceptional 3 service to the people of Guam; and be it further 4 RESOLVED, that the Speaker and the Chairperson of the Committee on Rules 5 certify, and the Legislative Secretary attest to, the adoption hereof, and that copies of 6 the same be thereafter transmitted to Beatrice "Bea" Lizama Fernsler; and to the 7 Honorable Edward J.B.
