5 ADULT AND AGING COMMISSION The purpose of the Commission is to serve as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors on planning and policy issues relating to the elderly and dependent adults. There are FIVE general public seats THREE to be filled due to the resignations of R. Jones (term expires 2/3/8), G. Marshall and C. Perry and TWO general public seats to be filled due to the vacant seats of M. Villota and M. Richardson. (This council is located within portions of the 4th and 5th Supervisorial Districts.) There are FIVE seats to be filled by residents of the area as follows: THREE due to the resignations of W. Kirkland (District 5 nomination), D. Swenson (District 5 nomination) and T. Lopez (District 5 nomination) and TWO due to the expired terms of E. Winn (District 5 nominations) and J. Oldenburg. 7 DELTA CITIZENS MUNICIPAL ADVISORY COUNCIL The purpose of this council is to review and comment on proposals relating to all land use and delta waterways in the Delta. (This council is located within the boundaries of the 2nd and 5th Supervisorial Districts.) There are TWO seats to be filled by residents of the area due to the resignation of W. Prior to appointment to this commission, applicants must attend one commission meeting and one subcommittee meeting. There are TWELVE general/ disabled seats to be filled as follows: FIVE due to the resignations of L. Diamond, P. Calvo, L. Lee, D. Mana-ay and M. Seide and SEVEN due to the expired terms of E. 8 IN-HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE The purpose of this committee is to make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, The Public Authority, and other agencies regarding in-home supportive services. There are SEVEN seats to be filled. There is ONE seat to be filled due to the resignation of J. Samora (term expires 7//9), FOUR due to the expired terms of consumer member representatives S. Powmacwizalord, L. Lee, A. Lopez-Coles and F. Godoy ONE due to the expired term of provider representative D. Blockmon and ONE due to the expired term of public representative C. Rose. (This council is located entirely within the boundaries of the 4th Supervisorial District.) There are TWO seats to be filled by a resident of the area ONE due to the expired term of H. Willstatter and ONE due to the current expired term of D. Ebbitt who is eligible for reappointment upon the receipt of a new application. For further information concerning the functions of this board, please contact Stephanie Dasalla at (96) TO FILE A FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE STATEMENT, CATEGORY A SACRAMENTO COUNTYWIDE OVERSIGHT BOARD The purpose of this board is to oversee the wind down activities of the former County of Sacramento, City of Sacramento, City of Folsom, City of Galt, City of Isleton and City of Rancho Cordova redevelopment agencies and to have fiduciary responsibilities to holders of enforceable obligations and the taxing entities that benefit from distributions of property tax and other revenues within the boundary of the dissolved redevelopment agencies. There is ONE seat to be filled on the Sacramento Countywide Oversight Board for the position of member-of-the-public representative. Appointees shall be a resident of Sacramento County. At the time of filing, all persons applying shall be required to submit an Applicant's Statement containing no more than 200 words, which may be made public. For further information concerning the functions of this council, please contact Vanesa Pimental at (96) VETERANS ADVISORY COMMISSION The purpose of this commission is to represent all veterans in Sacramento County by advising the Board of Supervisors and County Staff generally on matters pertaining to veterans, holding informal public meetings, providing the public with information, and receiving comments relative to veterans issues. Members must be residents of Sacramento; Military veterans who have served any length of time in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Coast Guard, or National Guard (operating under the War Department, Navy Department or Department of Defense); and discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.
