Approved that the Seeing Eye will host its annual Staff picnic that will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 and their annual Family Day Picnic on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at their Washington Valley Road Campus. The Family Day Picnic will be approximately 1,500 people. There will be a 40 X40 tent on the west lawn. The tent is for seating purposes only, and there will be no cooking done under the tent.. There will be arrangements made for an off-duty police officer to assist with traffic control and safety for Family Day. This request is granted subject to the review and approval, if required, of the Police Chief, John McGuinness, Fire Chief Scott Lovenberg and Health Administrator Kevin Breen, and receiving all the required permits. 2. Granted permission to the residents of Rolling Hill Drive (1, 2, 3, 4) and Western Avenue (326, 340, and 354) to hold their annual block party on Saturday, July 18, 2015 (Rain Date: August 22), from 1:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M.. Approximately 250 Adults and Children (150/100) will be in attendance. Music and children's activities (jumpy castles, etc.) are planned. All activities and party would be in the adjoining backyards - no need to close off Rolling Hill Drive or Western Avenue although many cars are expected to park along Western and Rolling Hill Drive. This request is granted subject to the notice of property owners within the subject area who will be affected (not in attendance) by the overflow of noise and parking, and the approvals, if required, of the Police, Fire Chiefs, and Board of Health. 3. Granted permission to the residents of Armstrong Road to hold their annual block party on Saturday, June 6, 2015 (Rain Date: June 7, 2015), from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. Is requesting the road closed to vehicular traffic. The requesting resident is responsible for contacting the Police Department to obtain barricades. This request is granted subject to the notice of property owners within the subject area who will be affected (not in attendance) by the overflow of noise and parking. This request is granted subject to the review and approval, if required, of the Police Chief John McGuinness, Fire Chief Scott Lovenberg, and Board of Health Administrator Kevin Breen. 4. Granted municipal consent to conduct the fifth annual Gran Fondo NJ bicycle event on Morris Township roads on Sunday, Sept. 13, The event is a 107-mile bicycle tour beginning and ending in Morristown, NJ. It is a fundraiser for various local charity beneficiaries, primarily for The Seeing Eye. The ride also has shorter course versions of 18, 40, and 60 miles. The participating cyclists will share the roads with vehicle traffic. The event is not a race, no request for road closures. The roads that will be used will be: Mendham Road, Washington Valley Road, Whitehead Road, Schoolhouse Lane, Washington Valley Road, Gaston Road, Sussex Ave. Final approval is contingent on approval of Insurance naming the Township as an additional insured; accompanied by the Hold Harmless Clause and subject to the approval, if required, from Police Chief John McGuinness, Fire Chief Scott Lovenberg, and Kevin Breen, Board of Health Administrator. 5. Granted permission to Spring Brook Country Club to hold fireworks at 9 Spring Brook Road on July 4, 2015 (rain date Sunday, July 5, 2015), fireworks display will be conducted by Garden State Fireworks. The fireworks will begin at 8:45 P.M. and will end at 9:00 P.M. A Fire Safety Permit has been applied for. This approval is subject to the approvals (if required) of the Police Chief John McGuinness and Fire Chief Scott Lovenberg, the filing of a Certificate of Insurance naming the Township as an additional insured with a Hold Harmless Clause (required), and notifying the surrounding neighbors in advance of the event (required). 6. Acknowledges that on June 13, 2015, the Morris Area Freewheelers will conduct their seventh annual Revolutionary Ramble, a scenic bicycle our through various Morris County towns to raise money for local area first aid squads and support bicycle safety education. The Township roads that will be used are as follows: Kahn Road, Old Glen Road, Woodland Avenue, Spring Valley Road, Kitchell, and Madison Avenue. 7. Granted consent to the residents of Convent Mews Dorado Drive to park on Johnston Drive, Turnbull Lane and Hoffman Court for the period of May 29 th to June 3 rd. Convent Mews is seal coating and stripping the lot. This approval is subject to approval by the Police Chief, Fire Chief and notifying the residents in advance, on Johnston Drive, Turnbull Lane and Hoffman Court by the Management of Convent Mews. 8.
