BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Sparta that permission be granted to Kiwanis Club of Sparta, NJ Inc. for a one day liquor license on February 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sparta Library, 22 Woodport Road, Sparta, NJ Resolution Authorizing the Sale of Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) No Longer Needed for Public Use on an Online Auction Website WHEREAS, the Township of Sparta has determined that the property described below as: One hundred and five (105) 2018 New Jersey Solar Renewable Energy are no longer needed for public use; and WHEREAS, the Local Unit Technology Pilot Program and Study Act (P.L. 2001, c. 30) authorizes the sale of surplus personal property no longer needed for public use through the use of an online auction service; and WHEREAS, the Township of Sparta intends to utilize the online auction services of Flett Exchange, LLC located at and

5 5 WHEREAS, the sales are being conducted pursuant to the Division of Local Government Services Local Finance Notice NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Sparta in the County of Sussex, State of New Jersey, that the Township of Sparta is hereby authorized to sell the surplus personal property as indicated on an online auction website entitled and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the terms and conditions of the agreement entered into between Flett Exchange, LLC and the Township of Sparta are available at and in the Township Clerk s office. 6-5 Resolution to Cancel Balance for Ordinance Celia Drive WHEREAS, the Township of Sparta has fully completed the projects for Ordinance #17-09 Improvements to Celia Drive; and WHEREAS, there are remaining unneeded balances allocated by Ordinance #17-09 Improvements to Celia Drive; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to formally cancel said balances so that they may be removed from the accounts ledger and outstanding debt. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Sparta that the following General Capital Fund account be canceled and moved to the Deferred Charges to Future Taxation Unfunded Account: Description Amount Canceled Improvement Authorization Unfunded Ordinance Improvements to Celia Drive $ 19,591.45

6 6 RESOLUTION OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT EXECUTIVE SESSION WHEREAS, Section 8 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975, permits the exclusion of the public from a meeting in certain circumstances; and WHEREAS, this public body is of the opinion that such circumstances presently exist. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Sparta, County of Sussex, State of New Jersey, as follows: The public shall be excluded from discussion of an action upon the hereinafter specified subject matters: The general nature of the subject matter to be discussed is as follows: a. Litigation b. Personnel c. Contract Negotiations It is anticipated at this time that the above stated subject matter will be made public when deemed appropriate. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
