Acting Chief of Police Benjamin Ruiz advising that six police officers have been selected by the 200 Club of Middlesex County, to receive a Meritorious Award for their actions and five police officers in the Special Investigation Bureau will be receiving a Certificate of Merit for their stellar year in 2011 in narcotic enforcement. 9 2. NJDEP submitted a Receptor Evaluation Form for Tropical Cheese Industries, Inc., a/k/a MENPE Corp., Ideal Dairy Farms, Mendez Dairy, Fayette St., Perth Amboy. (4/18/12) 3. NJDEP along with the Dept. of Health and Senior Services reminding anglers to be aware of routine fish advisories that are in place for fish caught recreationally in NJ. The advisories allow members of the public to make informed choices about the fish they catch and eat. (4/18/12) 4. NJDEP advising it has issued a Conditional No Further Action Letter for the remediation of the entire site at Buckingham Ave. netting Chamber Installation area. (4/19/12) 5. Margaret Pemberton, Clerk of the Middlesex County Freeholder Board submitted a copy of the resolution entitled Authorizing execution of agreement with the City of Perth Amboy Re: Continuation of Municipal Alliance Activities Program in the amount of $42, for the period of January 1, 2012 to December 31, (4/19/12) 6. PSE&G submitted a copy of the notice in the matter of the petition of PSE&G for approval of electric and gas base rate adjustments pursuant to capital infrastructure investment program extension and for charges in the tariffs for electric and gas service. Several public hearings have been scheduled on the company s filing so that members of the public may present their views. (4/20/12) 7. NJDEP submitted a copy of a No Further Action Letter for the remediation of the entire site soils only for Chevron USA Inc., 1200 State St., Perth Amboy. (4/20/12) 8. Elaine M. Jasko, City Clerk, advising Greg Fehrenbach, BA, that Council Member Fernando Gonzalez has requested that he be provided with an accounting of all bills paid to the law firm of Apruzzese, McDermott, Mastro & Murphy for the years 2008 to the present. NJDEP advising that it has published its Notice of Proposed Substantial Change upon Adoption to the Proposed Rule Amendments of the Coastal Permit Program rules and Coastal Zone Management rules concerning Public Access. The changes reflect opportunities to access and enjoy coastal waterways, ocean beaches, bays and rivers. (4/25/12) 10. Acting Chief of Police Benjamin Ruiz advising city resident Jack Dudas that the ownership of Terrazza Restaurant has committed to continue to work with the Police Dept. in addressing any current Quality of Life issues and any issues which may arise. (4/25/12) 11. NJDEP advising that the Spirit of the Jerseys and State History Fair return to Washington Crossing State Park in Hopewell Twp., on May 12, (4/25/12) 12. Mayor Wilda Diaz congratulating Martin Arroyo on his selection to the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) located in Newport, Rhode Island. (4/26/12) 13. Mayor Wilda Diaz thanking Council Members Kenneth Gonzalez and William Petrick for participating in the National Days of Remembrance, Holocaust Commemoration Ceremony held in Perth Amboy on April 19, (4/26/12) 14. NJDEP advising that it is encouraging residents across New Jersey to take steps to conserve water, both inside and outside the home. (4/27/12) 15. NJDOT advising that it is proposing to improve the Raritan Industrial Railroad Track in Woodbridge and Perth Amboy. Prior to proceeding with this action, the corridor must be studied to determine if wetlands are present in the area. A survey will commence no sooner than April 23, (4/30/12)

NJDEP submitted a copy of a Letter of Interpretation to Neville Partnership, LLC indicating the presence or absence of freshwater wetlands and waters on property located at Block 395, Lot (4/30/12) 17. Montgomery Township, NJ submitted a copy of a resolution Urging the Legislature to amend OPRA to protect citizens personal privacy rights. (4/30/12) 18. NJDEP advising that DEP Commissioner Bob Martin has marked Air Quality Awareness Week from April 30-May 5, by stressing the importance of a combined effort by government and the public to improve quality in our state. NJDEP advising that the Christie administration announced the award of $16million in clean communities grants to help municipalities and counties fund litter cleanup efforts that help beautify NJ s communities and roadsides. (4/30/12) 20. NJDEP advising that Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic will be moving to Liberty State Park in Jersey City on June 2, 2012, bringing the sport s top stars to the event. (5/3/12) 21. Mayor Wilda Diaz to Freeholder Director Christopher Rafano, requesting that the freeholders support the Brighton Park Revitalization Project for the amount of $414, from the Middlesex County Open Space/Recreation Trust Fund. The City has committed $769, for the construction of a new community center. These funds represent the 50% matching funds required by the county.
