2 Chairwman Hernandez: Believes Chairwman Jnes has dne an amazing jb as the I/C chairwman. Has been able t cllabrate with Chairwman Jnes n an Allcatins Cmmittee graphic. Has been able t sit dwn with her t discuss what is wanted fr an Allcatins media campaign. Believes that she has been very meticulus in all that she has dne, smething that has nt been seen frm ther candidates. First Rund f Pr: Minrity Party Leader Grabwski: We have received infrmatin that Chairwman Jnes has given preferential treatment fr candidates preparing fr interviews. Des nt believe this is a way f shwing bipartisanship, and has the evidence t prve it. States that it is unacceptable and that all candidates shuld be treated equally if reaching ut t the chair fr advice. Als ntes that she has given false infrmatin abut senatrs, including saying that Senatr Chu had nt liked the Student Gvernment Facebk page. This mtin is being made because there have been multiple instances in which the chair has nt acted in the best way t benefit the cnstituents. Whether it is making a false statement abut a senatr r nt fulfilling the duties f the psitin, it is smething that needs t be acted upn as representatives f the student bdy. First Rund f Pr: Minrity Party Leader Grabwski: Thrugh a public recrds request f the Flrida Legislature, it has been made apparent that Senatr Wikan never served as a district secretary, which falsifies her resume. States that falsifying any qualificatin t gain a seat n a cmmittee that cntrls a $21 millin budget is unacceptable. This shuld nt be tlerated. Wuld fully supprt if Senatr Wikan was remved frm the cmmittee and reapplied with her accurate qualificatins. Appintments cannt be made n false infrmatin and we have the evidence t prve it, if smene wuld like t request a pint f infrmatin. Senatr Bindi: Lying n an applicatin fr any psitin in any rganizatin is wrng. That shuld further terminate yur acceptance int that psitin and yur acceptance int that rganizatin, especially if it gains yu access t a cmmittee that cntrls $21 millin. If she is as qualified as thers are claiming she is, Senatr Wikan will stand with an accurate representatin n her resume. Senatr Pearsn: The chamber has already debated Senatr Wikan s qualificatins. It is clear that she is head and shulder abve the ther candidates. Since she has been appinted, the cmmittee has already had a meeting and passed a line item transfer. Senatr Wikan is already being incrprated int the cmmittee, slwly but surely, and believes it wuld be a detriment t the cmmittee t rescind her nminatin. Senatr Wikan claimed t serve as a district senatr and it was in all f her resumes and scial media bis. Senatr Wikan was a clerk, an assistant t the secretary and never managed any type f budget. There is prf f this frm the Flrida Legislature. That is falsifying infrmatin and that is unethical. Senatr Diaz: If the evidence presented is true, that is very wrrying. Regardless f the qualificatins that senatr Wikan may hld, falsifying infrmatin is cause fr remving smene frm a cmmittee. Des nt believe that is a precedent that the Senate Bdy shuld want t set. States that Audrey was trained t and handled the budget. Further explains Senatr Wikan s respnsibilities as it pertains t the budget. This candidate was nt apprved after the recmmendatins were recmmitted. This happened after the Inspire Caucus bjected t sme f the Impact Party s recmmendatins. Des nt believe this is prper behavir frm a party that ran n bipartisanship. Senatr Gats wuld respect this change if there was a reasn given as t why she was remved frm the recmmendatins. Explains what happened between the past tw meetings, regarding the recmmitting f the Rules and Ethics Cmmittee. Tries t never believe things blindly. Hwever, when everyne re-interviewed, the minrity party candidate, Senatr Jacksn, was nt recmmended again. Instead, a majrity party senatr was given the recmmendatin.
