Summary Busy, busy month. The change from Jed to Christy in the ANC: Chapters position is going well, and Bret is coming up to speed in his new role as ANC: Projects. ANC: Communications applications are being collected and reviewed. Lots of prestige reviews, lots of appeals for the arbitration board, and several investigations have been keeping

4 us all busy, but work is still moving forward on the new revisions to the membership handbook. III. Staff Election Updates GL Regional Coordinator Dennis Byron Won, Congrats! GL Arbitration Board Election underway. IV. Questions & Answers Be sure to check out the online FAQ database at: THIS MONTH'S QUESTIONS: Q: How is prestige for Assistant Operators on mirc reported? Will it be reported directly to the player and/or their coordinator? Or do they have to go to the website each month to get the prestige listing? A: Checking with the ANTA: IRC for the answer to this. Q: Are the presitge awards listed on the MST page already approved? A: The MST staff's prestige is awarded by the MST as delegated by the Club Director. The MST's web site lists approved awards. Q: When can an ST earn ST Support prestige? A: Q: Are the ordeals going away with the new chronicle? A: No. The ordeals do not have any questions specific to the old chronicle, so there is no need to redo them. If you do happen to locate older or outdated information, please drop a note to Jana Wright, national services administrator, so she can fix those specific questions (memberservices@white-wolf.com). LAST MONTH'S QUESTIONS:

5 Q: What is national's take on a member living in one city, but when they join they want to join the domain or chapter of another nearby city? And if they were formed CaAprilla members, would that make a difference? A: If a member lives within the boundaries of a domain or independent chapter, but they want to join another domain or indy chapter instead, this is doable with the same approvals you would need to transfer. Talk to your coordinator chain to see what reasons they think are good reasons, and what reasons they might want to avoid. Q: When will the 1st Night prestige be released? A: Soon, I hope. I am now looking into the matter more actively and should at least be able to get an ETA, if not awards, in the next week or two. V. Projects Project status is listed as of the time of this report, not necessarily the first of the month. If you would like to contact a project lead for more details on any of these projects, you can find contact information for them at: MEMBERSHIP HANDBOOK: Work continues on the new draft of the Membership Handbook. An editorial review panel of a few officers and a few experienced writers has been set up to check for presentation/readability errors in the new sections as they reach draft form. If you have extensive experience in this area, and wish to assist (but are not expecting a prestige award), feel free to contact the NC. If you have comments on portions of the existing Handbook which are confusing or overly complex, send those comments to the NC as well. If you have comments about policy or content, send send them up the coordinator chain (or on the coordinator list), or with whichever officer(s) are responsible for that area (ST chain for approvals policy, for example). Project lead is Wes Contreras, NC. COMMUNITIES REFORM: A new ANC: Communities will be announced shortly. Until the new ANC has a chance to come up to speed, no changes will be finalized. Project leads are Wes Contreras, NC, and the new ANC: COmmunities when selected. NATIONAL DATABASE DESIGN: A revised interface for the national database is in beta testing along

6 with several feature enhancements, though some back-end work to tie the Camarilla system to the other White-Wolf systems must be completed before it goes live. Project lead is Brent Cerrato, NTA in cooperation with the White Wolf IT department. EDUCATION DEPARTMENT: Work continues on the Leadership Development handbook. We have most of the chapters written and submitted, but we are doing some minor editing. Project lead is Jamie Schork-Morency. UNIFIED ADDRESSES: Due to heavy focus on the national database, this project is on hold indefinitely. Someday it will happen. OPEN PRESTIGE REVIEWS: This project is moving along so well that the eligibility date has been moved up to 1999 earlier than anticipated. Project lead is Pearce Dreadin, ANC: Prestige. If you have prestige awards dating to 1999 or earlier that have not already been locked by a national review, you may choose to send up a prestige review through normal channels to have your totals locked by national. DOMAIN LISTS: Each domain without a mailing list on the Camarilla server is being contacted to try and set one up. At this time the move is optional. Once we have three months of solid uptime on the Cam server, the move will become mandatory. Project lead is Christy Wellens, ANC: Projects. DOMAIN / INDY CHAPTER BOUNDARIES: In cooperation with regional officers, we are checking to ensure that each and every domain and independent chapter has defined geographic boundaries. The GL, EC, NC, SW and SC regions are complete. NE, NW, and SE are incomplete. Project lead is Bill Malvasi, ANC: Admin. REGIONAL COORDINATOR REPORT TEMPLATE: The RC reporting template has been completed. Some RCs have already started using it, others will be doing so next reporting cycle. The template will be modified as needed in the future, but this project is completed. MEMBERSHIP PACKETS: Still processing requests for missing membership packets. If you have not received your packet, see the FAQ at the URL below for more information. Project lead is Jana Wright, NSA.

7 STANDARDIZED DISCIPLINARY FORM A standardized disciplinary form is being created for use by officers when issuing disciplinary action. The hope is that the form will improve documentation of disciplinary actions and encourage officers to follow proper procedure, as well as provide an easy way to provide the information in case of appeal.
