Unanimously approved. MANAGER S REPORT Bruce Devillier 1. The 2014 fiscal year ended on September 30, Kent Whitfield s CPA firm has begun performing the year-end audit and financial statistics. 2. The 2016 Capital Improvement Plan along with the Ten Year Plan draft has been given to the Board for review. 3. Barriere Construction Co., LLC has begun road overlay of approximately two miles of roads. The roads are as follows: 1008 East Lakeshore Drive to 1417 East Lakeshore Drive Shady Trail Greenbriar Lane Woodhaven Drive Sherwood Drive Edgewood Drive Edgewood Circle Mariner Circle 4. Bid requests for the striping of newly paved areas on the main roads and the re-striping of some other areas were opened on September 22, A resolution to award the project is forthcoming.

2 5. Owen and White, Inc. has presented to the Board an estimate to add an additional water well to our system. This will be reviewed and planned out to proceed with this project. 6. Tower insurance was paid to Eagan Insurance in the amount of $7, Southgate building repairs are underway by Heritage Homes Inc. An insurance payment of $10,852 was received from Geico Insurance to cover all costs of the damages. 8. 3 Security Safety, Fire Committee & Boat Sub-Committee Ron Scheuermann A security meeting was held on September 23, Items discussed included animal nuisances in Hide-A-Way Lake, Halloween night, and safety issues relating to the community s roads. Lake Quality Danny Stockstill Water samples were collected from two locations on October 5, All samples were below the Mississippi standard level for recreational waters. Rainfall for September was measured at 3.80 inches which was 0.48 inches below the 30 year September average of 4.28 inches. Rainfall-to-date was inches which was 2.23 inches below the 30 year average of inches. Fishery Assessment studies by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks resulted in recommendations to reduce the fish population in Hide-A-Way Lake. Discussions with fishery biologists from the Department as well as fishery managers from the Mississippi State Extension Service revealed there is no acceptable quick fix to the problem of over population. A manageable approach would be some project activities for the slow and steady reduction of the number of fish. Therefore, the initial harvesting options implemented by the Lake Quality Committee included a four month resident fishing rodeo and an Electro-fishing or shocking technique. Assessment of catch results are presently underway for both harvesting options. We have reached the halfway mark in our four month fishing rodeo for residents. With the arrival of fall weather and better fishing conditions, there is still time for fishermen to enter the rodeo. Long Range Planning Elizabeth Ennis The Board is in the process of reviewing the draft of the Capital Improvement Ten Year Plan. Social Committee Robin Montalbano The Social Committee has several events planned for the remainder of the year. Upcoming events include: the Halloween Party on October 24 th, the Art Show on November 14 th and 15 th, a Breakfast Buffet which includes Santa s Workshop and HAWL s Christmas Shop on December 5 th, the annual Toys for Tots toy gathering in December, and the annual New Year s Eve Party on December 31 st. Also, the Social Committee is once again selling decorative rustic trees. Order forms can be obtained from the HAWL office, the HAWL website, or Waters Edge Restaurant. Public Affairs Clark B. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS A resolution whereby the Board of Directors of Hide-A-Way Lake Club, Inc. approves the awarding of the contract for HAWL Striping Roads 2015 project. 4 WHEREAS Hide-A-Way Lake Club, Inc. will have approximately 2 miles of striping new pavements and re-striping center line only road work, and; WHEREAS the following six (6) locations have been determined that striping will be needed; Location New Pavement 1008 East Lakeshore Drive to 1506 East Lakeshore Drive Edgewood Drive Hide-A-Way Lane from West Lakeshore Drive to Big Pine Lane Seven Cross Street tie in s: White Line only Re-Striping Only Center Rollingwood Drive from Willow Street to Cragmont Street East Sunnybrook Road to Driftwood Road WHEREAS after three (3) invitations to bid went out and upon receiving two (2) bid quotes for HAWL Striping Roads 2015 project from the following: Company Name Bid Amount Highway Graphics Declined to Bid Robbie Robinson, Inc. $9, Traffic Control Products $8, and; NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Board of Directors of Hide-A-Way Lake Club, Inc. approves the awarding of the contract for HAWL Striping Roads 2015 project to Traffic Control Products.
