1 LIBERTY TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING TUESDAY OCTOBER 3, PRINCETON ROAD LIBERTY TOWNSHIP OH EXECUTIVE SESSION 4:00 P.M. Mr. Farrell MOVED TO GO INTO MOTION TO GO INTO AN EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING ADVICE FROM LEGAL COUNSEL. Mr. Schramm seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. Farrell MOVED TO COME OUT OF THE EXECUTIVE SESSION. Mr. Schramm seconded. The motion passed unanimously. REGULAR SESSION 5:00 P.M. On Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 5:00 P.M., the Liberty Township Board of Trustees met this day for a Regular Meeting. Upon call of the roll, Ms. Matacic present, Mr. Farrell present, Mr. Schramm present. Ethan Klussmann led the Pledge of Allegiance. PUBLIC PRESENTATION 1) Swearing in ceremony for new Fire Chief, Ethan Klussman Mr. Farrell MOVED TO GO INTO RECESS UNTIL THE REGULAR MEETING RESUMES AT 6:00 P.M. Mr. Schramm seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. Farrell MOVED TO GO INTO THE REGULAR MEETING. Mr. Schramm seconded. The motion passed unanimously. FISCAL OFFICER S BUSINESS Mrs. Quinlisk provided the following notification: Appropriation Status as of September 28, 2017 Fund Status as of September 28, 2017 REGULAR MEETING CONSENT AGENDA All matters under the Consent Agenda are considered by the Board of Trustees to be routine and will be enacted by one motion. Any Trustee may remove an item from the Consent Agenda by request. No second is required for removal of an item. Items removed for separate discussion will be considered after the motion to approve the Consent Agenda.

Finance Motion to approve a resolution to authorize new appropriations. ( ) Services Motion to approve a Resolution to authorize the Township Administrator to enter into a contract with Henry Excavating, Inc. for a drainage project on Tulip Lane for an amount not to exceed $9, from account ( ) Mr. Farrell MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA. Mr. Schramm seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Requisitions Over $2,500 $ 2, Specialty Truck Repair, Inc Mr. Farrell MOVED TO APPROVE REQUISITIONS OVER $2, Mr. Schramm seconded. The motion passed unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENTS Maureen Mowl, 6458 Willow Bend Drive, member of the Liberty Township Parks Committee and MOMS club of Liberty presented an idea for a fence to be installed at Dudley Memorial Park on Yankee Road to be funded by the MOMS club fundraising efforts. She is looking for the Trustees and Rick Plummer, Services Director, to give guidance on if the project is allowable, how to design and recommended materials. Michelle Price, President of the Liberty Township Parks Committee, gave an update on the Parks Committee. She stated the fence project at Dudley Memorial Park has a majority of support from members of the Parks Committee. Administration Ms. Bitonte provided the following reminder: o Trick-or-Treat Night will be held on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., TRUSTEE COMMENTS The Trustees would like to welcome Fire Chief Klussmann to the Liberty Township family. Mr. Farrell MOVED TO GO INTO MOTION TO GO INTO AN EXECUTIVE SESSION TO CONSIDER THE APPOINTMENT OF A PUBLIC EMPLOYEE. Mr. Schramm seconded. The motion passed unanimously. 4 RESOLUTION NO Board of Trustees, Liberty Township Butler County, Ohio RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE NEW APPROPRIATIONS RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of Liberty Township, Butler County, Ohio, that WHEREAS, Michelle Greis, Finance Director, requests the Liberty Township Board of Trustees authorize the following new appropriations: Road and Bridge Fund: 1) $9,000 to (Other Capital Outlay) THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Liberty Township Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the new appropriation as listed above. Trustee Farrell moved to approve the resolution. Trustee Schramm seconded the motion. 6 RESOLUTION NO Board of Trustees, Liberty Township Butler County, Ohio RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH HENRY EXCAVATING, INC.
