5 CA AB 445 Cunningham [R] Career Technical Education Grant Program 02/13/ /29/ /26/2017 9:00 am Changes the name of the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant Program to the California Career Technical Education Grant Program. Increases an appropriation for the program for specified fiscal years. Lowers the amount of local matching funds required of an applicant to the program for specified fiscal years. Recasts the requirements of that report by consolidating therein reports of cost savings and other avoidances that are currently included in another annual report. 6 Requires a waste tire generator that is a retail seller of new tires to pay a tire regulatory fee. Requires the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, prior to establishing the fee, to hold a public hearing. Repeals the Rubberized Pavement Market Development Act and instead enacts the Tire Recycling Incentive Program Act. Requires the department to establish an incentive program to make payments to entities that purchase waste tire material for incorporation in a product for sale to end users. 04/20/2017 In ASSEMBLY. Requires the department to automatically bill a vehicle owner's credit card for the renewal fee by a specified day. Requires the department to provide the vehicle owner with advance notice. Requires the vehicle owner to use an alternative renewal method if he or she does not provide the department with the required additional information.

CA SB 145 Hill [D] Autonomous Vehicles: Testing on Public Roads 01/17/2017 Senate Appropriations Committee 05/01/ :00 am Repeals a requirement that the Department of Motor Vehicles notify the Legislature of receipt of an application seeking approval to operate an autonomous vehicle capable of operating without the presence of a driver inside the vehicle on public roads. Repeals the requirement that the approval of such an application not be effective any sooner that a specified number of days after the date of the application.
