The Superintendent recommends Barbara Agostinoni as the Chairperson for the Annual Budget Vote and Election of board members and any additional votes deemed necessary. j. Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Sub Committees. The Superintendent recommends the date designated by the State of New York, Tuesday, May 20, 2008 for the date of the Budget Vote & Election of Board members. d. High School Graduation. The Superintendent recommends the date of June 28, e. Official Newspapers. The Superintendent recommends the Catskill Daily Mail and the Kingston Daily Freeman. 13. Authorizations for : a. Certification of Payrolls. The Superintendent shall be authorized to certify payrolls. b. Conference Attendance. The Superintendent shall be authorized to approve attendance at conferences, conventions and workshops. d. Petty Cash Authorizations. The Superintendent recommends the District Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer have the authority to sign checks; and as an alternate, the District Clerk shall have the authority to sign checks. f. Budget Transfers. The Superintendent shall have the authority to transfer funds as Budget Transfers up to $5,000. g. Grants in Aid (State & Federal). The Superintendent shall have the authority to sign for all State and Federal grants. h. Federal Lunch Program. The Superintendent recommends Lissa Jilek have the authority to sign for the Federal School Lunch Program. 14. Other Items: a. Mileage. The Superintendent recommends the I.R.S. standard allowance for mileage reimbursement. b. Substitute Rates. The Superintendent recommends the following rates for substitute employees: Teacher: Non-Certified $70 / day Certified $85 / day Extended Leave Sub $94/day Long Term Sub On step after 75 days. Recommendation to appoint Ralph Lyons as Interim High School Principal at a per diem rate of $ effective July 9, Mr. Lyons holds Permanent Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA). e. Recommendation to appoint Linda Wistar to a 3 year probationary position as the Director of Pupil Personnel Services at a prorated salary of $96,000 effective August 6, Ms. Wistar holds Permanent Certification as a School District Administrator f. Recommendation to accept the Treasurer s report for March b. Recommendation to approve the Health Services contract with the Catskill Central School District for 7 students at a total cost $ 3, c. Recommendation to approve the Health Services contract with the Albany City School District for 4 students at a total cost $2, d. Recommendation to adopt a Bond Resolution authorizing the sale of bonds not to exceed $140,000 for the purchase of 2 wheelchair buses as approved by the voters of the district on May 15, e. Recommendation to award the contract for transportation for Special Education students for the 2007 summer BOCES and Private School programs to Coxsackie Transport as the lowest qualified bidder.

7 Page 7 f. Recommendation to approve the Cooperative Bidding Resolution for the purchase of various types of computers and technology commodities to be utilized under Project Lead The Way. 6. Board of Education Items: a. Site Based committee reports b. Recommendation to approve the CSE/CPSE student referrals and annual reviews. c. Recommendation to discard the excess and broken computer equipment as described in the list provided by the Network and Computer Administrators. d. Recommendation to approve the request for the use of school buses by the Town of Cairo Summer Recreation Program. The dates for the use of the buses are July 12 and 13 to the High School; July 19 to the Fireman s Museum in Hudson; July 30 to the Zoom Flume, August 7 to Bailiwick Ranch. One bus would be needed for each trip. The Town of Cairo will be responsible for paying the driver and the mileage used on each trip. e. Recommendation to approve the request for the use of one school bus by the Town of Durham Recreation Program to travel to Mine Kill State Park in Gilboa from Brandow Park on the following dates: July 12, 19, 26, August Superintendent s Items & Reports a.
