The options for party preference are Democrat, Non-Partisan and Republican. The preference selection is only used for primary elections and can be changed with each primary election cycle. 4 Requesting an Absentee Ballot Continued In order for our office to successfully process your request for an absentee ballot, the following items on the form (SAMPLE shown on the preceding page) MUST be completed: Date of Primary, Election or Runoff Party Preference (for primary elections only) Date of Birth Name As Registered Address as Registered Alternate Address for Ballot Mailing (if outside of Chatham County OR Disabled individuals within Chatham County). Exceptions (if applicable, the relevant box should be checked). Voter s signature or mark. Signature of person preparing application or relative requesting ballot (if required). Absentee ballots for the May 22, 2018 General Primary may be requested at the present time with a written request mailed or faxed to our office (see Contact Information on Page 7). Go to in your web browser. 2. Enter the first initial of your first name, your full last name, county of residence and date of birth. 3. Click the Submit button. 4. You will be taken to a screen showing your current registration status. You may print out a copy of your precinct card on this page. 5. 6 Employee Spotlight: Ilov Addison Ilov Addison started working at Voter Registration in September 2014 as a seasonal Temp. She officially became a permanent employee on December 8, Her favorite part of the job is working with her teammates and the public on a daily basis. She is a Savannah native who was originally born in Beaufort, SC. Outside the workplace, Ilov enjoys attending church services with her daughter, Chloe, who is 16 years old and a 10th grade honors student at Savannah Early College High School. Ilov also enjoys hanging out with her friends and family and is known by her colleagues for bringing a light, joyous heart to work each day. Page 6
