3 AGENDA ITEM NO. 1 Confirmation of the Minutes of 30 th Meeting of Board of Management (BOM) of the Engineering Development Board (EDB) held on January, 20, The Board of Management considering that No objection/ observation thereon have been received from any of the Board Members, approved the minutes of the 30 th meeting of BOM held on 20 th January, Engineering Development Board

4 AGENDA ITEM NO. 2 Follow-Up Actions of 30 th BoM: The Board of Management was apprised of Follow-Up Actions of 30 th Meeting of the Board of Management of EDB held on January, 20, 2011 as per Annexure-B of the Working Paper. 4 Engineering Development Board

5 AGENDA ITEM NO. 05: ADMINISTRATIVE & FINANCIAL MATTERS. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS: i. REVISION OF RENTAL CEILING FOR HIRING RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION The BoM was informed that 25% enhancement in existing rental ceiling for hiring of residential accommodation by Government Employees vide Ministry of Housing and Works letter No. F.4(8)/92-Policy dated 18 th October, The BoM approved the grant of 25% enhancement in the rental ceiling for hiring of residential accommodation for the EDB employees, subject to the concurrence of the Standing Committee of the Finance Division. ii. REVISION OF CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE Federal Government vide its OM No.F3(1).R5/2010 dated 3 rd July, 2012 has revised the Conveyance Allowance for the Civil Servants of the Federal Government BPS After allowing the same percentage of increase to EDB employees the revised conveyance allowance works out to be as under: No. Grade Conveyance Revision w.e.f Revision w.e.f Allowance % Revised % Revised 1. E-V 8, , , E-IV 6, , , E-III 6, , , E-II 5, , , E-I 4, , , NE-IV-VI 2, , , NE-I-III 2, , , The BoM approved enhancement in the conveyance allowance of executives and non executive employees of EDB w.e.f. the date it was announced for the Federal Government Employees i.e. 1/7/2011 and 1/7/2012 respectively with the approval of the Finance Division. 5 Engineering Development Board

6 iii GRANT OF ADHOC OF BASIC PAY TO THE EMPLOYEES OF ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT BOARD. The BoM was informed that Government has sanctioned Adhoc of basic pay to the federal government employees in the Federal Budget The members of the BoM were informed that employees of EDB are also entitled to grant of Adhoc Relief on the same lines, but subject to approval of the Finance Division. Accordingly, the matter is placed before the BoM for concurrence, before its submission to the Standing Committee of Finance Division for formal approval. The BoM approved grant of Adhoc of basic pay with effect from 1 st July 2012 i.e. the date from which the allowance was granted to Federal Government Employees, subject to the formal approval of the Finance Division. 6 Engineering Development Board

7 Financial Matters: 1. REVISED BUDGET AND BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR : EDB submitted the Revised Budget grant for amounting to Rs million and Budget Estimates for amounting to Rs million vide EDB letter No. EDB/Accts/MOI/ dated 21st December, 2011 with the request that the approval of the Board of Management will be communicated shortly. Ministry of Finance approved the Revised Budget grant for amounting to Rs million and Budget Estimates for amounting to Rs million with the understanding that EDB would communicate the approval of the BoM shortly. Accordingly the BoM was requested to approve the Revised Budget grant for amounting to Rs million and Budget Estimates for amounting to Rs million. The Board of Management approved the Revised Budget of EDB amounting to Rs million and Budget Estimates amounting to Rs million. ANY OTHER AGENDA ITEM: Appointment of Secretary to the BoM Mr. Khalid Latif Malik, GM(F&A) who performed as Secretary to the Board in the meeting was allowed to work as Secretary to the Board of Management.
