Scripture: I Kings 4:42-44 NIV r NLT Elisha had arrived in Gilgal and there was a famine, which means there was hardly any fd, and the peple wuld be very hungry. As yu read these scriptures tday see if it reminds yu f anther stry in the Bible. Activity: Feed the family J Supplies: either a cuple f dinner rlls, r 2 slices f bread (nw when this is ver yu can tast the bread t make crutns t use after the fast) In ur scripture tday Elisha gives 20 laves f bread & feeds ver 100 peple. (This reminds me f Jesus feeding 5000 with 2 fish & 5 laves f bread) These laves f bread are similar in size t a dinner rll. Take the rll r bread and tear int bite size pieces. Ø Naaman had been sick & nw culd be healed but didn t want t d what Elisha said Has that ever happened t yu? Scripture: I Kings 5:20-27 NIV r NLT After being healed, Naaman ffered gifts t Elisha, but Elisha plitely refused the gifts, s Naaman went back hme, but Gehazi (Elisha s servant), was greedy & wanted the gifts. Scripture: II Kings 6:8-16 NIV r NLT Remember Elisha is a prphet f Gd He speaks what Gd tells him. Activity: Draw it ut Draw what yu think it might have lked like when Elisha s servants eyes were pen and he culd see the hillside cvered with nt just the enemy s silders, but with the Angels (vs. 15 & 16) Ø Have yu ever felt like a prblem was t big r t hard fr yu? Scripture: II Kings 7:5-9 NIV r NLT Lepers (peple wh have Leprsy) were nt allwed in the city because they were cntagius, s they camped n the utside f the city. These 4 lepers were starving & there was a famine in the city s they wuld starve if they went in the city. S they decided t g & surrender t the enemy since they were ging t die f starvatin and maybe they d get sme fd frm the enemy. Activity: Trust me, please J Supplies: adult & blindfld Allw child t blind fld yu Tell child they can take yu anywhere in the huse, but they have t allw yu t hld n t their shulders & never get mre than 2 inches in frnt f them. (shw them what 2 inches lks like) If yu have time yu culd switch spts and d again. Ø During this fast & in the cming year we ll be talking abut Overflw. In this chapter we see Gd blessing this wman AGAIN! She had t mve fr a while, and d withut fr a while but she gt it all back + mney! Ø On this fast yu had t d withut sme stuff, and after church tday it will all be back. Was it wrth it? Why r Why nt?
