After following Steps 1-4 below, all Level 3 History Honours students must have: Total selection of exactly 1 credits Maximum of 60 credits of optional course units in Sem. 1. Maximum of 40 credits of optional course units in Sem. 2. Minimum of 40 credits of optional course units in HIST or CLAH-coded courses (excluding 40-cr. BA Diss) Total selection of exactly 1 credits (40-cr. BA Diss cr. of optional course units) Course units which do not clash check the timetable Select no more than credits of University Language Centre modules. The semester in which a course unit is taught is identified by the last digit in the course code (eg HIST10101 = Sem. 1). A 0 (zero) final digit indicates the course unit is taught across both semesters. Note on Allocation of Across Semesters: Students may take 60 credits of optional course units in Sem. 1 and credits in Sem. 2 (3+1 split), or 40 credits of optional courses in each semester (2+2 split). Students must plan their dissertation research schedule appropriately, and in consultation from welcome week onwards with their appointed dissertation supervisor. Students may not take 60 credits of optional course units in Sem. 2. Note on Course Selection Procedure (also see the SALC guide to Course Unit Selection): ND = No Dissertation : a course whose director will not be available to supervise dissertations in 17-18, due to Research Leave.
