2 No THE AGRICULTURAL LAND CONSOLIDATION ORDINANCE, 1985 (Ordinance 13 of 1985). NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 8(2). The Acting Area Officer Dhekelia subject to the provisions of subsection (2) of Section 8 of the Agricultural Land Consolidation Ordinance of 1985, hereby notifies that a land consolidation resolution has been effected and a Land Consolidation Association has been established at Xylotymbou village, in the Sovereign Base Area of Dhekelia. 4 No THE SEA BATHERS (PROTECTION) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDINANCE, 1986 (Ordinance 4 of 1986). ORDER MADE UNDER SECTION 3. In exercise of the powers vested in me by Section 3 of the Sea Bathers (Protection) (Consolidation) Ordinance, 1986, I, the Chief Officer, hereby make the following Order :- I. This Order may be cited as the Sea Bathers (Protection) Order, The areas specified in the Schedules hereto (hereinafter referred to as reserved areas ) are reserved exclusively or persons bathing in the sea, subject to the conditions and restrictions set out in the said Schedules in respect of each area : Provided that the restrictions relating to the sailing of boats within the reserved areas shall only have effect between sunrise and sunset. 3. The reserved areas shall be demarcated by buoys. 4. This Order shall become operative on the lqth day of May, 1987, and shall: (a) In respect of the areas specified. in the First Schedule hereto, cease to have eflect on the 31st day of October, 1987 ; (b) In respect of the area specified in the Second Schedule hereto, continue in force until revoked. 5. Public Instrument No. 98 of 1986 is hereby revoked. FIRST SCHEDULE SOVEREIGN BASE AREA AMROTIRI 1. All map references in paragraph 2 of this Schedule refer to 1:50,000 scale map, Sheet 23, series M%17, edition 3-GSGS. 2.-(1) The reserved areas are the territorial waters of the Sovereign Base Areas extending seawards 100 metres unless otherwise stated from the following stretches of shore : (a) Evdhimogl Beach (West) to (b) Evdhimou Beach (East) to : Provided that the area shall be bounded on the western side by a line running south-east from (e) Paramali Beach to (d) Happy Valley Beach Episkopi to

5 (e) Tunnel Beach Episkopi, (f) to Curium Beach to (g) Ladies Mile Beach (extending 200 metres seawards) to a point under map reference to a point on the shoreline at : Provided that motor launches and sailing vessels may enter the said area through three sea lanes each of an approximate width of 100 metres and each marked with buoys, and that a fourth sea lane of an opproximate width of 150 metres and marked with buoys shall be reserved for sail and wind surf boards only: Provided further that the foreshore under item (g) of this subparagraph shall include land within a distance from high water mark not exceeding 10 metres. (2) Copies of the map referred to above are properly marked and deposited at the Area Office of the Sovereign Base Areas Administration Akrotiri for inspection by any interested person. SOVEREIGN BASE AREA DHEKELIA I. Officers Club Beach. bounded by a line from the headland on the east, under map reference of the Dhekelia map, series K912, edition 7-GSGS, to a point westwards under map reference ; thence northwards to a point on the headland under map reference CESSAC (Church of Enghd Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen s Chb) Beach. bounded by a line from the headland on the east, under map reference of the Dhekelia map, series K912, edition 7-GSGS, then to a point under map reference and then to a point southwest under map reference , then to a point on the coast under map reference St. George s Club bounded by a line from the headland on the esst. under map reference of the Dhekelia map, series K912, edition 7-GSGS to a point westwards on the headland under map reference Victor Beach Club (Off Alexander Barracks). bounded by a line from the shore under map reference of the Dhekelia map, series K912, edition 7-GSGS to a point southwards under map reference ; thence westwards in a straight line to a point under map reference ; thence northwards to the shore to a point under map reference

Faiswinds Beach. bounded by a line from the shore under map reference of Sheet 21, series K717, edition 2-GSGS to a point southwards under map reference ; thence westwards in a straight line to a point under map reference ; thence northwards to the shore to a point under map reference ; all of which area stretches for 300 metres along the coast and at a distance of 100 metres from high water mark. Copies of the maps referred to above are properly marked and deposited at the Area Office of the sovereign Base Areas Administration Dhekelia for inspection by any interested person. SECOND SCHEDULE SOVEREIGN BASE AREA AKROTIRI Royal Air Force Station Akrotiri and Ladies Mile Beach (South). 1. All map references in paragraph 2 of this Schedule refer to 1:lOOOO scale map, Series K912, Sheet Akrotiri and Environs, edition 2-GSGS. 2.-(1) The reserved areas are the territorial waters of the Sovereign Base Areas extending seawards 200 metres from the following stretches of shore between points under map reference : and and Provided that motor launches and sailing vessels may enter the said area through two sea lanes, marked with buoys. (2) Copies of the map referred to above are properly marked and deposited with the Fiscal Officer of the Sovereign Base Areas Administration for inspection by any interested person. 7 No THE GAME AND WILD BIRDS (PROTECTION AND DEVELOPMENT) ORDINANCE, 1974 (Ordinances 11 of 1974, 1 of 1982 and 3 of 1985). NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 (1) (b). In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of Section 27 of the Game and Wild Birds (Protection and Development) Ordinance, 1974 the Area Officer Akrotiri, with the approval of the Chief Officer, hereby authorises any holder of a valid game licence, to shoot, take or pursue wild birds or foxes in the areas set out in the Schedule hereto, during the period commencing on the 5th May, 1987 and ending on the 10th of May, 1987, subject to the following terms and conditions :- shooting shall take place between sunrise and sunset only ; no dogs shall be allowed to accompany the hunters; no fires shall be kindled; no shooting shall take plaze within a distance of 200 metres of any main road; no farm or other cultivated land, where there is a risk of damage being caused to fruit trees, vegetable gardens, citrus plantations, cereal crops or vineyards shall be entered ; shot-guns shall be carried to and from the areas specified in this notice dismantled; hunters shall carry with them their game licence, their gun possession licence and the certificate of registration of their gun. This notice may be revoked at any time. SCHEDULE Areas A and B will remain closed. AREA C that area which lies south of Limassol - YrJsonas road. commencing from boundary pillar 188 and ending *at boundary piliar 146; thence the boundary runs due south along the Sovereign Base Area boundaries up to the junction of the Trakhoni - Kolossi link road on the main Phassouri - Kolossi road: thence along the former road up to boundary pillar 201, excluding any game reserves and certain lands which lie between the two main earth tracks which branch off the old Kolossi-Zakaki

8 road and converge on a track south of the Ypsonas - Kolossi main road, the area banned for shooting in this particular pocket of lands having been properly signposted on the ground.
