ORDER MADE BY THE ADMNSTRATOR UNDER SECTON 19. n exercise of the powers vested in him by Section 19 of the Shop Assistants Ordinance, the Administrator hereby makes the allowing Order :- 1. This Order may be cited as the Shop Assistants (Amendment of Schedules) Order, The First Schedule to the Shop Assistants Ordinance is hereby amended by inserting immediately after paragraph 17 thereof the following new paragraphs:- 18. The sale of fresh bread and other types of bakery. 19. The sale of any merchandise from any shop on the half-holiday on the Wednesday preceding Easter or the full holiday on Maundy Thursday, subject however to the provisions of the Regulations in force at the time, regarding the closing hours for shops during the ten day period which immediately precedes Easter The sale of any merchandise from any shop on the two specified half or full holidays which immediately precede Christmas day and New Year s day, during the period from 15 to 31 December each year, both dates inclusive, subject however to the provisions of the Regulations in force at the time, regarding the closing hours for shops during the said period. The sale of any merchandise from any shop which is located in either an aerodrome or a port.. 3. The Second Schedule to the Shop Assistants Ordinance is hereby amended as follows:- (a) by inserting immediately after paragraph 19 thereof the following new paragraphs:- 20. The sale of any merchandise from any shop, on the Sunday which immediately precedes Christmas day subject however to the provisions of the Regulations in force at the time, regarding the closing hours for shops during the period from 15 to 31 December each year, both dates inclusive. 21. The sale of any merchandise from any shop which is located in either an aerodrome or a port.. 1

3 225 (b) by deleting the words fresh fruit and vegetables appearing in paragraph 12 thereof, also the comma after the word bread substituting therefor a colon and by inserting immediately thereafter the following proviso:- Provided that the sale of fresh fruit and fresh vegetables from shops or other establishments which are located within the territories of municipalities and improvement board areas and of villages which have common village boundaries with municipalities, shall be allowed only until 1 p.m. on Sundays.. Whereas it has been represented to the Administrator that it is desirable to construct public roads outside the affected area of the Agricultural Land Consolidation area in the village of Ypsonas in the Sovereign Base Area of Akrotiri; And whereas it is, in the opinion of the Administrator desirable, for public purposes, to construct the roads as aforesaid; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in him by Sections 2, 3 and 5 of the Land Acquisition Ordinance, the Administrator does hereby declare the construction of the aforesaid roads to be an undertaking of public utility and does hereby entrust the acquisition of the land required for the said undertaking to the Chief Officer, Dated this 18th day of October, (106/1) By the Administrator s Command, A.J.H. (144) No. 159 THE POLCE ORDNANCE ORDER MADE UNDER SECTON 23 (1). junction with the Ormedhia/Dhekelia Road, shall be closed to all vehicular traffic, except for access, from 0600 to 0830 hours on 24th October, During this period, vehicular traffic will be diverted around Dhekelia Garrison via Larnaca / Famagusta Road and Waterloo Road North. (144) No. 161 THE POLCE ORDNANCE ORDER MADE UNDER SECTON 23 (1). junction with the Ormedhia / Dhekelia Road, shall be closed to all vehicular traffic, except for access, from 0800 to 1030 hours on 27th October, During this period, vehicular traffic will be diverted around Dhekelia Garrison via Larnaca / Famagusta Road and Waterloo Road North.
