2 Update: In Melut, migration is peaceful, nomads now at Kaka heading towards Fashoda County. No families following nomads. Arrival of Arab nomads (wk beg. 12 Nov 2012) in Gerger payam, Renk County without prior coordination from White Nile and Sennar of Sudan and settled in north-west areas of Renk No Ambororo presence in Renk, moved to Maban County. Seleim Fellata Hawazma Arabs: Naza Sabah Hassania Mosalami Fellata Rufaa Concerns : Unauthorized presence of some nomadic group in Renk. RMG presence. 4 Maban County Update: Presence of Ambororo nomads in Maban County coming from Renk. Some Ambororo are in Longochuk County. Nomadic refugees from BNS located within short distance from main refugee camps. RMG presence. High number of refugees. Conflict brewing between host community, refugees and Fellata herdsmen in Bunj of Maban. Close proximity of refugees and nomads. Initially nomads came without consultation. 4 Jan 2013, meeting between nomads and Abiemnom county authorities, agreed on pertinent issues. Another meeting was due on 11 Jan, cancelled due to the Misseryia traders killing on 9 Jan in the border between Mayom and Abiemnom County. Misseryias asked for another schedule. Misseryia, Baggara and Fellata are at border at Pariang County. Misseryia traders are still trading in Mayom County (2-year agreement) Possible revenge by Misseryia, likely in reverse migration. In the border with Pariang County, some nomads are with military uniform and with heavy caliber weapons. Nomads encroaching cultivated land of 5 locals.

7 ABYEI - HIGH RISK Misseriya: Kamil Fayarin Muzama Omran Fadilya Update: Misseryia Awlad Kamil and Fayyarin sub-clans from western corridor. Muzama (or Mazaghna) Misseryia sub-clan from central corridor. Awlad Omran and Fadiliya from eastern corridor. Presence of nomads in eastern corridor now at Abiemnom County of Unity. Central corridor nomads now at Todach, Noong and Tajalei (around km north of Abyei). UNISFA is active to divert nomads from entering Abyei township. UNISFA estimation in Abyei area around 50,000 Misseryia nomads with 1.4 million livestock. (as of 16 Jan 2013) Around 20,000 Ngok Dinka at Abyei, another 1500 just arrived from Wau on 22 Jan Militarized border RMG presence Migration movement Main location of displaced population Forced entry by Misseryia nomads?? 9 Rizeigat NORTHERN BAHR el GHAZAL - HIGH RISK ` Misseriya Aweil North County Update: Migration yet to start. Governor of NBeG dissociated Mile 14 issue from migration. Attack on Kiir Adem on 26 Dec 2012, alleged involvement of some Reizigat with SAF SPLA withdrawal from Mile 14 area likely to be completed by 5 Feb. Local population are still willing to accept migration. Likely to have meeting with Reizigat, Misseryia and the host community in mid-february. Reizigat Chief Nazir reiterated their noninvolvement in the attack on Kiir Adem. Locals within Mile 14 area without SPLA protection perceived to come under threat by nomads. SKS Governor officially prohibited trade and migration with South Sudan.
