The first trip to Grand Isles was on May 29, 2016 and the three returned from the most recent trip on 11/06/16. They make more than 10 trips for 3 days each trip during the shrimping season. In September 2016, Anna receives news about a new hotel that has open in Lafayette. Anna moves back to Lafayette on 09/15/16 to apply for the work at the hotel and secure housing. Robert then joins his mom at the end of the school semester, on 12/20/16. A recruiter interviews the family in Lafayette on 07/01/17.

He was told about possible work with local shrimpers. The couple moved to Grand Isle on 3/30/17, but when Matthew applied for work with local shrimpers, he is told they were not hiring.
