2 Focus of the 2016 Forum From the recent enactment of the PACE Innovation Act by Congress, which set the stage for PACE pilots to serve new populations, to a much anticipated proposed revision of the PACE Regulation, 2016 promises to bring significant national policy changes to PACE. These changes are developing in the context of a tumultuous election year that will usher in a new administration and could reshape Congress. At the state level, policies promoting continued expansion of Medicaid managed care present both challenges and opportunities for PACE programs. For insights into how federal and state policies will impact your PACE organization, the 2016 Spring Policy Forum held by the National PACE Association (NPA) is the place to be. Hear from key congressional staff, leaders at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), PACE peers, and others about what is happening now, what lies ahead, and what it means for your PACE organization. This year s forum will consist of one-and-a-half days of programming in addition to Capitol Hill visits, where attendees will have the opportunity to visit with their congressional representatives to advocate for PACE and discuss federal and state issues affecting PACE organizations. Capitol Hill Visits for NPA Members On April 6 PACE organization leaders will travel to Capitol Hill to meet with their members of Congress and congressional staff to build support for NPA federal policy initiatives. Conference attendees will receive information about conducting Capitol Hill visits and communicating PACE policy priorities. To assist in reaching out to elected officials, NPA provides members with access to resources on the NPA website. Capitol Steps NPA is pleased to announce that the Capitol Steps will perform an exclusive show from 8-9 p.m. on Monday, April 4 in the spirit of the 2016 Presidential Election.
