4 TO: REPUBLICAN STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS FROM: CHAIRMAN DIRK HAIRE DATE: APRIL 5, 2017 RE: MARYLAND REPUBLICAN PARTY SPRING CONVENTION Dear Central Committee Member, Pursuant to Article VIII, section 1.d. of the Maryland Republican Party's Constitution and Bylaws, I hereby call the Republican State Central Committee's 2017 Spring Convention to be held at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront in Ocean City on April 28th and 29th. Tentative Weekend Agenda: Registration and Check-in for the Spring Convention will be open from 5:00pm 7:30pm on Friday, April 28th and will reopen on Saturday, April 29th at 8:00 am. The Executive Committee meeting will be held Friday evening at 7:00pm. Immediately after, the Spring Reception and Awards Presentation will take place at 8:00pm. Hospitality suites will begin at 9:30pm. There were a handful of changes to this convention agenda. Breakfast will be held an hour later at 8:30am on Saturday. Our guest speaker will be announced after session. At 10:00am, the General Session of the Convention will convene. We will break at 12:30pm for lunch. All credentialed individuals will receive a boxed lunch. The General Session will convene again at 1:15 PM. Immediately after General Session ends, we will be holding an optional Campaign Technology workshop. We expect to have a lot of new business this convention including bylaw changes and resolutions. Sponsorships, hospitality suites, and advertising opportunities are all available as well. I look forward to seeing you all on April 28 th and 29 th. This is a critical time in Maryland has we have 90 municipal elections statewide this year and are preparing for many elections in We will be discussing our opportunities to win more seats in greater detail at convention.
