64 JUDICIAL ELECTIONS
65 IN FLORIDA, ELECTIONS ARE HELD EITHER TO SELECT JUDGES OR DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT TO RETAIN JUDGES. OTHERS BELIEVE THAT BECAUSE JUDGES HOLD TREMENDOUS POWER IN OUR SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT AND THAT JUDGES SHOULD BE ELECTED AND SUBJECT TO POPULAR VOTE IN ORDER TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
