FICCI and E&Y had pubished the Future of Jobs" report. This report provides a vision of change for the job market in India over the next few years. It has a view that various primary forces such as gobaization, demographics, and Industry 4.0, are expected to have on the key sectors of the economy. It aso provides an overview of the projected job creation rates that 9% new jobs and 37% jobs that woud have radicay changed ski sets wi emerge in coming years. According to the census 2001 about 307 miion peope have been reported to be migrated from their pace of birth. Out of them about 259 miion (84.2%), migrated from one part of the state to another, 42 miion

5 (2%) from outside the country. Migration is mosty driven by distress circumstances and is a form of iveihood strategy, 14.7 migrations happened because of the empoyment opportunities. There are many drivers for outward migration, however the key reasons incude ow wages, growing working-age popuation, and ow empoyment generation rate. Over 60% of the Indian migrants trave in search of higher wages to the Midde East: 41% of them are empoyed in the construction sector, 32% in the retai sector, 11% as domestic hep, 9% work in the manufacturing industry, and the remainder engage in jobs in other industries. The demand of Indian abour force is increasing in internationa market because of the ow wages and it woud increase in near future. Migrants are not aware of the immigration process from India and get to the airport without proper documentation, eading to being sent back home at times. No rea handhoding is done and no information is provided to migrants on requirements of trave. They arrive at their destination with no ingua training and have no idea on how to proceed as they do not understand the signage and fee ost. The session wi discuss the significance of Reskiing and Upskiing of the migrants and in which direction India shoud move ahead to protect and deveop the gainfu migration hrs Presentation on 'Recent Initiatives By The Word Bank hrs Mainstreaming Apprenticeships hrs Concuding Session 1700 hrs onwards High Tea Apprenticeship has been adopted as a major ski deveopment intervention to provide arger empoyment opportunities to the youth. This has been a successfu mode, practiced widey in countries eading to higher empoyabiity. The Nationa Poicy of Ski Deveopment and Entrepreneurship 2015, aunched by the Hon'be Prime Minister on 15th Juy, 2015, focuses on apprenticeship as one of the key programmes for creating skied manpower in India. Recognizing the vaue of onthe-job training. Since the conception of the Apprentices Act 1961, severa initiatives have been undertaken over the years to simpify the Act and make it industry friendy, yet the apprenticeship opportunities in the country are insignificant when compared to the size of the economy. To promote apprenticeship and to incentivize empoyers who wish to engage apprentices, MSDE aunched the Nationa Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) on 19th August NAPS has a provision to share expenditure incurred on both apprenticeship training and stipend paid to the apprentices. This session wi throw ight to make apprenticeship training more appeaing and to tap the huge potentia for reaching a tenfod increase in the training numbers.
